Located on a quiet, pretty street in a beautiful part of Arlington, this shop has a wonderful wine selection. The staff are kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and go above and beyond. They do wine tastings on Fridays, which is very nice. I love this shop!

I stumbled upon this place walking down the street. One of the staff was super kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. After showing me around the shop, he gave me a 15%off coupon, and told me they are having a tasting on Friday night. I came back, enjoyed the tasting with the rest of the staff who were also friendly, nice, and knowledgeable, then I got this nice bottle of wine from them as a result. I highly recommend if you’re in the pentagon city area, or looking for something specific regards to wine, this is your place!

Absolutely my favorite place to buy wine. I started going to this shop due to the convenience, but have continued going for almost two years because of the stellar wine selection and staff. If I’m looking for a certain type of wine, the staff is eager to help find the perfect option or order my preference for the shop. Also, I love to support small businesses, and there’s no compromise on the quality of the product. Pentagon City Wine Merchant has enlightened me to new wines and I definitely recommend it to experienced or new wine lovers!

While Costco, Whole Foods Market, Safeway, 7-Eleven, and CVS all serve wine in their own right, the Pentagon City Wine Merchant stands out for its careful selection of elite wines, the staff’s knowledge and exceptional customer service especially that of manager William, and their openness to feedback… These guys can help you place a custom order for that wine you tried at a restaurant 3000 miles away. I go here about one a week . They always have an interesting rotating selection of great wines . The tastings on Saturday really broaden your horizons and are extremely educational . The manager, Greg, is extremely knowledgeable, and customer service forward . It’s obvious he enjoys sharing his love of wine with his client base. I really enjoy this wine shop. I literally have no problem going in and describing what I’m in the mood for and buying their recommendation. It’s always spot on.

Absolutely best place to go for amazing options and to learn more about beer and wine. I've been coming here almost every week and always leave with great tasting choices plus advice on pairings and even found new favorites for both beer and wine! The weekly wine tastings are always fun too and I always leave with at least one of the options served!

Went in shortly before Thanksgiving, and was helped by Ben. He was very helpful and knowledgeable! He let us taste a great selection of wines and Sakes, and recommended a bottle that was a huge hit at thanksgiving dinner! If you’re looking for wine, this is the place to go, 10/10!

The service can't be beat! I was able to partner with the General Manger Greg for a private wine tasting. All of our clients loved everything he sampled. He's well endowed when it comes to wines from across the world. I prefer red wines but he was able to offer me a Pinot Grigio from Italy that was nothing less than perfection. When entering the store you're pleasantly overwhelmed by the amount of wines they have for you to choose from. I also discovered I have a preference for Wines specifically from South America I would definitely recommend this shop to a friend.
