Reviews
So this is a very honest review. I was extremely nervous about the location. I booked it prior to viewing the reviews shame on me BUT I was pleasantly surprised by this location. The front desk accommodated our early check-in request for our family of three. Yes, the rooms were a bit out dated but everything worked, everything was clean, there were enough towels and linen was plus some. The location was absolutely perfect for what we needed for four days at the beach. The pool was cleaned daily - the other guests we so fun to meet and socialize with. The beach wasn’t to crowded. The staff was very kind - I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone and I will return. It’s an absolute gem in NMB. Rooms: Outdated but still great - everything worked and was clean. I’m come from a middle- income family and was very happy with the rooms. Nearby activities: Ice cream, amazing local bakery, shag club great people watching but an older crowd for me, ODs lounge had an amazing Friday band, lots of shops, beer and wine - plus ice. Walkability: It was a 4 minute walk to the NMB strip - 3 great surf shops, kid friendly activities, and local live music venues.
If you ever want to experience a tiny before you buy one, then you need to stay here. And don't be broad shoulders or tall because this is not the place. Very uncomfortable for my family of 3. The rooms are old. The appliances are outdated. The bathroom is TINY!!! The hot water is good. It does have a good view of the beach. It's not handicap accessible to get into the room if you are in a wheelchair or scooter. However, the staff was friendly. And the rooms smelled of mildew. The 1 bedroom has a full bed and they advertised a queen bed. It was a good thing they put a full bed in here because the bedroom isn't big enough for a queen bed. It is close to attractions and good access to the beach. It's definitely not my choice for a family vacation but more for a baller on a budget!!! Nearby activities: Amusement park, restaurants, shopping at local stores, Walkability: Everything was close
This place is a dump. The WORST place I have ever been in. Glass sliding doors have not been washed in 20 years. The carpets have not been vacuum. The bathtub is all chipped. No TV in bedroom, and it is so small can't move around in. Bathroom door warped. This place needs to be condemned. Don't stay HERE.Rooms: 1/5
If you want to experience a tiny home before buying one, then come visit this place. This place is very small. The one bedroom has a full-size bed when they advertised it with a queen. Everything is outdated. I can stand and touch the ceiling, and I am only 5 foot 7 inches tall. It was not a good experience for my family of 3. Rooms: VERY SMALL!!! Nearby activities: Amusement parks, restaurants, local shopping. Walkability: The beach is close Food & drinks: There are plenty of restaurants close by
Stayed here 6/13 checked our 6/15. We were here for business and reservations were made for us. The Good: It had a full kitchen, was close to other locations of interest, and the outdoor pool area looked nice and had a hot tub. I didn't go to indoor pool or activities or Tiki hut/bar. The Bad: The ground floor room smelled heavily of mildew. I tried to air it out by leaving the sliding glass doors open awhile, but it didn't work. No grab bar in shower, crumbling patch work in shower, oddly contoured shower that made slipping a concern for me. The bedroom had such a large bed in it for the size of the room, I had to walk sideways around it and I'm an average size person. Odd stains on box spring mattress bag. I noticed the mattress was double bagged when I stripped the bed for house keeping before leaving. I'm not sure if that was a good thing or bad thing. Noteworthy details: They showed a family friendly film on an outdoor screen one night when were there. It was a little loud in our room, but nice for little kids.
Overpriced for paying to see cockroaches at night over the balcony. No room service until you leave. The laundromat in the hotel doesn't work. No lifeguard on duty ever for the pool on the outside. Racism in the small bar that's inside the hotel area. Witnessed an altercation and we ourselves dealt with it. Don't expect the room to be clean. It's wiped down, but the flies that appear everywhere speak for themselves. You want linens changed, got to do it yourselves. Great hotel staff but the hotel itself, wasn't worth what I paid for Rooms: The rooms smelled. They don't really clean. Cigarette buds in the bathrooms after it was "supposedly" cleaned. Dead bugs everywhere. Safety: No lifeguards at all. Kids swim with parental supervision. Food & drinks: Don't go to the bar/mini food shack thats part of the hotel. Next to the pool that's behind it, unless you have some type of dark complexion and want to be stared down. She was either super overwhelmed or just had the worst attitude all the time. After this review, now they say they can't find my itinerary. Wow
Building is "retro" at best. Rusty, cracked, broken and way outdated. Rooms are tiny but have all the basics. But the front desk staff was super nice. They do a few basic activities during the day. Location is GREAT. Right on a nice, not busy part of the beach. City chairs and umbrellas available. Lifeguard right close by. Beach is super clean.
Alright to start off this place had cockroaches. Found at least 4 during my week stay. The room is so incredibly small you can’t even walk, you have to walk sideways to even get through the opening between the couch and the kitchen counter. When we first entered the room it smelled horrible thank god we brought air freshener. Truely the only good thing about this hotel is that the beach was walking distance. I would never stay here again the living experience was so terrible. It’s not even worth having the beach right there I suggest finding a different place. Rooms: Disgusting and stunk
I normally have something good to say, rave about even but this place, The location being on the beach was absolutely the only good thing my husband and I enjoyed in the slightest. Small, cramped, nasty rooms. Dont believe they've updated anything since earlier than the 90s, for sure... We could barely walk in the bedroom it was so small. The bathroom is tiny and the shower is curved in such odd ways, i slipped quiet a few times. They have balconies but its comical how small they are. Having to sit sideways in a plastic tiny lawn chair, if you can imagine that. They dont have anyone after 11pm that mans the hotel or checks in guests and if you need a key after that time they charge you $75. A company put us up in this hotel, mistakenly. Now we know for the future... to steer clear of this place.
As a timeshare owner here over 40 years, I have a lifetimebif memories. Housekeeping was not as good as pre-Covid. Maybe staff shortage.Rooms: 3/5
