Management always makes the difference- attract talent and it will take care of itself. There are 12 people in the restaurant and it’s taken an hour to get a salad. I don’t blame the employees I blame management… corporate needs to figure out “who not how”.. hire the right who’s
Perkins is generally pretty consistent as far as their food goes, which is good and bad. I personally love their pancakes, but think their other items are very middle of the road. It is nice knowing that you’ll get the same exact taste and presentation at any Perkins you go to, unlike some other chains that are all over the place. Every time I’ve tried a non-breakfast item, I have been disappointed. Most recently I ordered the pot roast, which was HORRIBLE. I figured that an establishment like this couldn’t possibly mess up a pot roast, but I was proven to be a fool. I had been craving pot roast and mashed potatoes for a while, but this made me dislike the dish. It looked and tasted arguably worse than a tv dinner, and I can confidently say that I would rather eat air than eat their pot roast meal again. The corn was mushy and tasteless, and the mixed veggies were not tasty either. Meat quality was terrible and honestly tasted suspicious. 0/10. If that were my first and only experience with this chain, I’d leave a one star. However, I have enjoyed countless late nights at different Perkins locations across the Midwest and they’ve always delivered on decent breakfast food. The bakery items, specifically the pie, is pretty solid as well. Staff friendliness varies by location, but USUALLY they are ok. Prices aren’t bad and I’ve never gotten sick from eating here, so I’ll continue to go back when I’m yearning for some quality cakes. I definitely enjoy theirs more than ihop.
This Perkins was fast. The food was hot. Tasty. Loved the gravy. My server was very personable. The bakery was nicely decorated. I had a pumpkin muffin that was warm and exceptional. I truly enjoyed my experience and I will be backFood: 5/5
I wasn't a huge fan of the food or the wait time at all. They were a little busy but it took almost 50 minutes to get cold pancakes. Not really one to complain especially about restaurants like this but I'd skip this one while I was in town. They seemed understaffed and I felt bad for the stressed out staff that was there. If you do go, tip well. Parking: Parking gets no complaints from me, plenty of spots.
Was out on my vacation and stopped in and as usual they have amazing food and baked goods. The service was awesome and the manager curt did a great job greeting me as I entered. Made me feel like a great place to eat. Definitely coming back.Food: 5/5
The restaurant was empty and we still had to wait about 10 minutes, and while waiting, a doordasher was getting a pick up order and the hostess lady was extremely rude to her in front of everyone and made it known by rolling her eyes and breathing hard. Well we get seated, waited 7 minutes to get service, plus additional 30 or more minutes to get our food, never got asked for refills but the people around us did. I get working sucks, but that's YOUR JOB! That's the job you took, so be respectful to your costumers, their the reasons yall still have jobs. Anyway that's the first and last time I go to that location. And to top it off, the food was cold.
Went for Breakfast and ordered the Breakfast Scramble over hashbrowns!! The hashbrowns were hard and way overcooked!! The waitress was very friendly and had them remake it for me with Breakfast potatoes instead,it was delicious!! Plus I had Pancakes,I love there pancakes!!!Food: 3/5
This Perkins is the best! Been going here for a long time. When my grandfather was around this was his restaurant of choice. We live in the area now and our family always enjoys eating here. Great service. Friendly staff. My son is autistic and loves Kraft macaroni and cheese and pancakes. It’s a win win.
Even though the place was pretty empty, I had to wait to be seated for like 5 or 10 minutes. I have been to a lot of perkins and it's usually really good. But this one not so much. The toast was soggy. Probably from using margarine instead of real butter. My hash browns were soggy and drowning in grease. Not crispy like they should be. The bacon was overcooked. And all of the food had funny flavors which tells me the cook is not scrubbing the griddle properly in between meals. Overall it was terrible. Wont be back to this one.
MOD Kurt and his assistant demonstrated beyond stellar interpersonal skills and care in work. They should receive any promotion they wish, as their ability to delegate and run the establishment was seen by all customers while I was there.Food: 5/5
