Great surprise just off route 55. We were headed north to Nashville and I found 1 spot left here. It was a very nice campground with full hook up. The lake is huge and is a water sports get away. We will certainly put this on this list of place to return for a longer visit. Oh did I mention it was only $24 a night.
This park is beautiful, well kept, and has a lot of deer running around. The bathrooms were clean, but had a horrible smell beside them. You see the camp hosts and park rangers driving around a lot, and they are super friendly. I highly recommend this park. It has full hook up, 30/50 amp, and water. The pads are even, and easy to get into.
Persimmon Hill is a beautiful campground with lots of tall pine trees. It has a paved, lighted walking trail and great views of Enid Lake. The sites are large and well spaced.

Roomy sites, quiet campground. Most sights have a lake view. $20/night for full hookups 30 amp. 50 amps also available. This is a perfect campground for water-centered activities. Boat ramp and parking available. Also good for bicycling and walking. If you enjoy The Blues, Clarksdale is an hour away and worth the drive. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!
Very clean and well maintained COE campground. We arrived, picked a site, and then booked it at Reserve dot gov right away before setting up. Sites are fairly level, spacious, and well spread out. Followed GPS directions off I55 via 32 and found the campground with no issues. Great place to stop for the night on the way to or from the coast.
March 2022...great stay. Will go back. Very clean. Playgrounds. Benches near lake for gazing. Mature trees. Suggest to leave Google maps alone and take exit 233 Interstate 55. Stay on 36..ver right at traffic circle and travel on dam to campground entrance.
Site 58, nice large pad, full hook up, nice clean bathrooms and showers. Friendly campers.
Very peaceful and quiet!! Grounds are manicured, very well kept!!
