Personal & Family Counseling Services, an OhioGuidestone Organization, is a non-profit family service agency serving Tuscarawas and Carroll counties.
For over 40 years, PFCS has helped thousands of children, adults and their families overcome or prevent serious social and emotional problems and forge stronger, more positive human relationships. We've expanded to a staff of nearly 62 full- and part-time employees in a newly expanded facility in New Philadelphia, Ohio. In 2006, Harbor House, Inc, a domestic violence shelter and substance abuse halfway house merged with PFCS to enhance the quality of services provided to the community by both organizations.
We are the community leader for advocacy, service and collaboration resulting in the empowerment, self-sufficiency and resourcefulness of families. We are committed to providing comprehensive strength-based, individualized services to enhance the lives of residents in the community.
In January 2013, PFCS became an affiliate organization of OhioGuidestone. OhioGuidestone has been inspiring families for almost 150 years through programs like counseling, literacy, workforce development, education, foster care, and our residential treatment and group homes. Through their services, which build upon one another so they address every aspect of a person's needs, they help children, families and communities become stronger.
