This store has a poor selection of all pet supplies. I was the only customer in the store but I was greeted by a group of about 10 young girls who continued their inappropriate conversation about their sexual lives. I would never suggest someone go there looking for a wholesome store to get pet food. The stores ratings are being inflated by someone filling in false reviews on behalf of the store. On a side note, they were also carrying dwarf frogs which are illegal to sell in the state of Maine which I feel highlights their disregard for what's appropriate.
I was expecting to see more snakes but they only had 3. The store was pretty bare. Few birds and fish tanks. I was concerned with 2 birds being held in a tank. Walked in and the first thing I saw was a store associate bent over and her thong exposed about 5 inches above the top of her pants. Not what i wanted to see. I wont go there again.
The parrots in the fish tank were baby green cheek conures that were being hand fed. The state of Maine has lots of restrictions on snakes so that's why they don't carry so many.
Staff and an owner who will talk down to and treat you as if they do not need your business, sad indeed that the only local pet store in town will not take constructive criticism, they'll also knowingly sell you any animal you're willing to pay for regardless of whether or not you have the proper setup for it. Save your money, shop elsewhere.
Very nice people also knowledgeable of the animals they sell. I bought a new hamster from them and I'm very pleased! ! ! You know they really care about people and pets. I would highly recommend! ! ! !
