I’ve been bringing my dog here since I first got him, and have always left happy and with a super tired puppy! The staff works really well to make sure that he plays with dogs that are similar to him in the way that they play, and interact. They almost always post photos of him, so I get to show my coworkers while I’m at work, and of course send them in my family group chat. They are very good about giving him breaks when he’s being too rambunctious which I know is a lot of the time. I feel a lot better about taking him here than the dog park because they are a lot closer in proximity to the dogs and can break up any disagreements in seconds. It’s really helpful to bring him here and also to the Mequon location - it’s lovely there when I have errands, work, plans where he isn’t invited. I cannot recommend them enough. He’s met with the trainer, Pat, for check ins and to see how he’s developing, and is so helpful for helping me understand my dog. He and other dog trainers there are so incredibly knowledgeable, and are very honest with also using warmth. You have to put in the work for dogs, and the whole team at Pet U does that for my dog when I drop him off.
Great trainer! My shepherd pup is in the training classes. Will be boarding her there when on vacation and possible doggie day care for socialization. Love their selection of dog supplies
PetU took great care of my pup while we were out of town. Daily photos on Facebook reassured me she was in good hands. I also appreciated phone calls when there was a question or concern. Since this location is very close to the airport, we were able to pick her up on our way home. She even received a complimentary bath before we picked her up!
Had a such a wonderful puppy training experience with our golden retriever that we went back for intermediate training. Both sessions were exactly what we needed to help our dog develop into a well behaved family dog, while having lots of fun together in the process. The classes struck a good balance between reward/praise and discipline and our golden responded so positively to it, the results have been amazing. Our dog also loved it, she always got SO excited when we would leave for class. Overall it was a great experience for all of us!
PetU takes great care of our girl when we're out of town and has special handling for dog-reactive pups. Attending a 6 week training program right after adopting a 5 year old dog and you CAN teach an older dog new tricks.
Took my puppy for "training" and I must say if you own a pit bull breed DO NOT take him/her to this place. The "trainer" Pat isn't fond of pitties and it will show. He dragged my 13lb pitty across the room by her leash as I'm trying to grab my puppy and she's yelping and gasping for air. He then tried doing the same a second time but this time I was able to grab her before she yelped. I NEVER saw him grabbing any of the other puppies like that!!! He left my puppy for last on everything. Training treats ect. The "trainer" brought politics into dog training sessions!! I found Pat to be full of himself and biased against pit bull breeds. Never will I bring my dogs here. I will never recommend Pet U. Then he had the audacity to call me after I posted a Facebook review as if he didn't know what I was talking about.
We enrolled our 3 year old rescue in the 5 week introduction to obedience course. It could not have gone better. The trainer was very attentive and adept at conveying the tools that we, as pet owners, needed in order to successfully train our dog. In the course, we were able to learn how to train our dog to sit, lie down, stay, come, and perform well on a leash. He was eager and willing to answer any and all questions. And now at the end of the course our dog is able to perform these skills. We could not be happier. Of course, the training never really stops. With these tools, we will continue working with our pup. To our enjoyment, and to our dog's betterment.
Great daycare services! I travel for work and trying to find a daycare that will accept my energetic one year old and intact german shorthair pointer is tough. I have been to at least four daycares now and this is by far the best we’ve been to! They also have great hours that have accommodated my busy work schedule. The staff are also amazing and wonderful people, everyone was so nice to talk to. Thank you so much for providing an enjoyable and easy experience this summer!
$125 will get you 5 weeks with a “trainer” who feels you should not feed your dog to make training successful. He boasted that the only food his dogs got for their first year was out of his hand so - if he was late in the morning hey- dogs don’t get fed. Feeding your dog every day he says is a people thing and dogs in the wild don’t eat every day… He also believes in choke and spike collars and when I questioned that with my pit bull mix he told me all dog breeds are the same. If that sounds like what you’re looking for by all means go here. Otherwise DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
We left my dog there for boarding while we were on a trip. I called frequently to ask how she was doing and they were good with giving me updates, however I found out most of the updates weren’t the truth. While they told me she was “doing well”, she wasn’t eating. They fed her peanut butter, when she’s allergic to a big portion of foods and that’s why we feed her specific food. When we got her back, she was anxious, had an infection from a scratch on her face, and was quite sick. She’s up to date on all of her vaccinations and she wouldn’t have been able to scratch herself because of how small she is. Do not leave your dog here!
