First of all, I called the store , and spoke to an employee about freshwater fish. Her name is Tori. She was so kind, and so patient with me. I ask her alot of questions, and she did not hesitate to answer each question. She took her time helping me. Then we came to the store, and she helped us with picking out some freshwater fish we had talked about. Again, she was very helpful, informative, and answered every question we had. I just wanted her management team to know how much I appreciate her help, and time. She is definitely an asset to your company. Please tell her thank you again for us…I will look for her again, when we come back to your store….
Only went in for cat flea treatment but left extremely satisfied! Staff was very friendly and helpful and immediately helped me find what I was looking for. They let me hold a ferret as well after asking if they had any! 10/10 experience highly recommend this Petco!
Employee was rude, argumentative and lacked knowledge in what they were saying. Copped a major attitude, and any repercussion to that employee is unlikely as they seem VERY comfortable in their behavior. Meaning, they get away with too much. The fish tank area has been poorly maintained and unkempt for months now. Stock is always blocking aisles, messy and dirty floor. The ferret cages are filthy and they lack again, basic up to date knowledge on animal care. Please do not take advice from a retail pet store worker on your furkid's care.
Katherine is AMAZING. She takes such good care of our labradoodle, Finn - we followed her from Knightdale to Clayton and have already booked out to the end of the year for all grooming appointments. The store is nicely set up, customer service is great. We are very impressed compared to our old store!
Always a great experience when going for treats. But having to get her nails trimmed is very stressful for Nettie. I only have Maggie do it as she is FANTASTIC!!
Cashier was the nicest most helpful worker there. But the rest of the store was a mess, literally. They were clearly working on a truck. There were large pallets out on the floor blocking full aisles completely and then more boats that werent being actively worked, and should have been kept off floor. It was extremely hard to navigate around, not to mention a fire hazard and definitely not ADA compliant. There were maybe 3 or 4 employees we saw out on the floor working. But nobody greeted us or offered to move vehicles that were in our way, but instead ignored us completely as they worked around us. The prices were also fairly high, and about the same when compared to nonspecialized pet stores, like Target. I saw no great sales or incentives to return and shop in store. I expected a better value for a specialized store.
Nice and generally knowledgeable staff, also very nice exhibit. They also tend to have a ton of worms if you've got a reptile. If you want to see and learn about some relatively exotic animals and potential pets, this is a nice place to go.
Some of the staff are lovely wonderful people but some are not. I’ve encountered some bad attitudes, today I heard someone say “ugh I hate people” I hope she wasn’t talking about me
The animal care needs improvement. A ball python was in terrible condition with substrate stuck in its mouth, which forced its mouth to stay open. It looked like its been like that for an extended period of time, and the snake looked dehydrated and with stuck shed. There were multiple containers of hissing cockroaches that had been in store since May some over 2 months. These are sealed with plastic so no new food or moisture has been added, and some had even had babies. This is not the first time I've expressed concerns over animals at this store, and there have been no improvements.
The staff is always cheerful and happy. Everyone is willing to help and the store is so clean! My boys love going to look at all the pets they have.
