Petco

Raven is awesome. Not only did she give me suggestions for my puppy's harness, but she also adjusted it for me and put it on him. She made suggestions for treats, and she told me about the lessons they have at the store for pups. We are signing up tonight with her help.

Terrible customer service. Due to the lack of a check, they refused to return the aquarium, during the 30 days that had not elapsed. A bank statement from a card showing the store number, name and date of purchase is not a document for the store. They refused to issue a duplicate of the check, according to the available information about the purchase, which violated a number of legislative acts. I do not recommend Petco if you value your time, money and do not want to be treated with disdain at the checkout if you decide to return something. Rating -10 stars!!!!

People are friendly and they always have what you need.

Pretty decent Petco. I have cats and with that in mind I have found that this store has a wide variety of cat food and products, but almost nothing in bulk. So if you need to run and pick up a few cans of cat food to hold you over, or perhaps to try a new flavor or brand, this place is great. If you know what you need and you're looking for bulk at a decent price, this place is not for you. I suppose this 'problem' is pretty widespread amongst retailers now, but if you know what you need and you can wait a few days to get it, it's definitely more cost effective to purchase online.

Excellent pet store and great customer service

This is a small Petco in comparison to others I've shopped. The storefront & inside appear moderately unkempt. There was trash & dried spills all around the entry. The floors inside as well with dirt & dried liquids. The shelves & stock are dirty both visually & to touch my hands were pretty dirty after handling the stock. The bathrooms are markedly run down, stuffy & humid, & seemingly devoid of any aeration except the hollow door with insulation about as effective as a sheer curtain complete with someone right on the other side that I could clearly hear breathing. The general ambiance is straight, strange. In the aquatics department there was a lot of unavailable supplies substrate, fake & live plants, toys, fish. The selection of live tank plants are overrun with algae & extremely limited as well as those on the shelves which had sickly, wilted, & brown edges. The live fish tanks were clean, although, nearly every fish or others listed to my interest was unavailable. The Betta cups were not filled, roughly half with murky water, & many Betta huddled on the bottoms, nearly apathetic this was affective. The prices seemed exorbitant in comparison to Amazon which is my usual shopping go-to. I was in the aquatics department for well over an hour & never once offered assistance. I had to go up front to ask the cashier to bag me up some fish. The cashier came to help me with the live fish whom was more than patient & kind. She spent a fair amount of time obtaining answers to all my questions to my satisfaction & along with my own research, this sufficed. There was no aquatic-knowledgeable staff onsite. The staff appear ample in number although distressed as if understaffed consider that this is peak holiday shopping season & there was a short line at the purchase counters. I'm no expert on department store logistics. I know the dynamics of customer service. I also know that typically it's not staff but rather trickle-down system failure that lead to this type of experience. I give a star for the lady who bagged my fish, one for convenient hours, & one for simply being open & running in this unstable era.

I give it five stars because this one has medicated food my dog needs and the vet attached. My favorite Petco grooming is in North Hollywood though. They're pretty good here too.

I like Petco but not this store. It has gone downhill over the last 3 years. The website will show they have items in stock but if you order online and they are too lazy to look in the back then they will cancel your order. So you have to go there and tell them the item is in stock according to the website and to check in the back to retrieve it. Once you get to the register you will find out the item is more expensive than what it was if they would have just done their job and fulfilled the online order for pickup. 1 star because at least the employee at the register was nice.

Who can complain, the store it self has gotten alot better. Lots of surrounding stores in walking distance, an attached vetco. Hope you know hwta you're getting, not too many obvious employees working. Good place for food, not so much the pets, nothing fancy with the fish or reptiles , their feed is half dead most of the time. I guess it's still fun to come in and get a bone for the dog.

Store is always understocked and disorganized. Staff is very helpful and friendly when you can find one to help. They need to hire more people to staff store they all seem pretty overworked.
