I had an amazing experience with the crystal lake location. My daughter and I have been wanting a corn snake and have done a lot of research. I was able to get in contact with Kate from this store who had help tremendously. If I wasn't sure of something she would let me know the best options. She helped with what I need for the tank and how to care for a corn snake. Even a week before I purchased the snake she showed my daughter and I the 3 different snakes they had and let my daughter see which one she would like and who handled better. Kate was a pleasure to work with and very grateful for her help. If you have any questions I suggest her she will help you with anything and not feel like a bother!

The Treat Bar has been positioned so it is unusable from one side. The measuring scale is only on one side. Also, they switched to smaller bags so you can only fit one pound. After telling the employees about this, it was not corrected. Same setup one month later. They blamed it on "Corporate". Very clear no one is concerned about their sales.

They have the perfect things for all my pets, at great prices! One young lady I forgot her name was extremely helpful, friendly and entertaining when she helped me look for the best hamster supplies!

Every time I come here the employees are always super friendly and helpful. My kids love to look at the animals and I always find cool clearance deals.

I ordered online and picked up the order within a short time. The associate was friendly and courteous. As soon as I walked into the store, I was met by an associate who was able to get my order and I was on my way. A good experience.

Looked online for Spray On Band Aid for my dog and Petco's website said they had it in stock at this location. Went in and looked for it by the first aid section and didn't see it. Asked an employee named Jim if he could assist me in locating it. He couldn't have been any less interested or concerned about helping a customer. He looked for just a few seconds and said they didn't have it. I showed him on my phone it said it was in stock and he said it wasn't his problem. After he left I looked at the shelf behind me and and right at the end of the aisle towards the wall is the exact product I was looking for. Very poor customer service. Only reason I didn't give 1 star is because the other employees have always provided much better service.

When my pet turtle passed away unexpectedly and suddenly, I wanted to find another enclosure was properly cleaned and disinfected. Tried a few other area stores that either didn't have aquatic turtles, or they had very sad-looking ones. Petco had about four Cumberland sliders all in good health, so I picked one out. A kind employee named Amanda helped snag her and box her up. Everything she said and did professed love and respect of the animals she cares for. You could tell she was concerned for the turtle's wellbeing without being remotely condescending. She shared eating habits of that particular turtle for my benefit. Absolutely a delightfully positive experience after the sadness of losing a pet that morning. The new turtle is named Hodag :
