I keep coming in to see if the store is carrying 2 products - Nulo Freestyle Adult Trim Dry Cat Food light blue bag & Okocat Super Soft Cat Litter the hot pink box. The store carries other versions of these brands, but not the 2 items I want to buy, so I typically leave & order off of Amazon instead. I was in a pinch on the cat food the last time I went in & ended up buying another Nulo Indoor Dry Cat Food, but it's a bit higher in calories, so that part I'm not stoked on I have a heavy cat. BUT - the food was way less expensive at the store than it is on Amazon so that made me super happy! The girl at the counter was super nice as well.
I had my dog bathed and groomed here. The male groomer did an awesome!
I have always been more than satisfied when shopping @ Poulsbo PETCO but am very disappointed that they do not consistantly honor their free bag of dogwood after purchasing 10 bags. I raise Irish wolfhounds and buy a lot of dog food that is over $100 a bag @ PETCO over the last several years but I feel they do no appreciate my business or my loyalty by not honoring this offer to me.
The nice thing about pet stores is that the staff is almost always knowledgeable based on experience, and can definitely identify with any concerns you have - everyone loves their pets, right? This place is no exception.
Such a fun place to take the doggo. The place is always super clean, and the staff are some of the friendliest people in town! The treats are always fresh, and I'm really looking forward to getting some fish for our daughter when she's just a tad bit older.
One star because I should be able to refill a prescription cat food here. I made an attempt for online, as I was told by the cashier friendly, but came home to find it wasn't that easy.
Dead or missing bugs. I ordered online and a friend picked them up. I ordered 4 containers of 25 superworms each. My friend brought them back and the bag stunk so bad, I cannot imagine how anyone picking the order didn't smell them, and/or thought that was OK to sell to someone. Clearly they didn't bother inspecting them before they sold them, dead worms stink really bad, they had to notice. I inspected the containers and found dead bugs, only about 40 were alive. One container only had 5 bugs. I've shopped in store before as well and many times they keep their superworms refrigerated which kills them. If they can't sort how to keep bugs alive and healthy perhaps they shouldn't be selling animals.
great service at this store. Stock is usually there but can be limited to less for specialty items. 4 stars because their website is lacking. Not as responsive as others I have used but with patience you can get done what you need. They are also pushing the app so I tried it but did not like it at all. Not very user friendly and also very unresponsive and lags.
Mckinzie, who is the dog trainer at the Poulsbo, WA Petco is an outstanding teacher and trainer. My wife and I benefited greatly from the expertise that Mckinzie demonstrated in the private 6-week training course that she conducted. We learned a lot about how to train our dog, as well as about toys, licking mats, and treats that foster our dog's intellect, curiosity, and happiness. We feel closer to our dog and have greater confidence in our abilities to be thoughtful guardians for our "pup". I recommend Mckinzie's services to anyone who wants to fully enjoy the company of their dog.
Came here the night before picking up our new pup to gather some supplies. The location was clean, organized, and had pretty much everything I was looking for. It's pretty speedy, but that's to be expected at a speciality store. Staff wasn't overly friendly but not unpleasant. I'd return, and my pup agrees!
