Pete and Jay's Spring Fries was founded in 2016 after two friends had a very serious discussion about the potato business. We knew the potato industry was highly complex and competitive but we were confident that with the right potato, we could be a success. Jason originally wanted to sell mashed potatoes but we eventually decided this would be too messy. Peter wanted to sell julienne potatoes but we felt this potato was too pretentious for fairs and festivals. Eventually, we decided on a spiral cut potato on a skewer that is deep fried and seasoned, which we call spring fries. We've enjoyed taking this popular South Korean street food and introducing a whole new way to eat potatoes to our customers in the Pacific Northwest.
