What an awful disgusting place with a horrible owner. The owner walks in at 9:50 pm. I'm drying my clothes and almost. He closes the doors looks at me doesn't say hello or how are you, just looks at me an hour and 10 minutes before they close and just says we close at 11 and walks away. Clearly I'm almost done number 1. And 2, the owner is incredibly rudeand has no common sense at all as you can clearly see that I'm almost finished and leaving and don't need an hour and 10 minutes. The place is filthy please look at the photos. oh, and because the trash is filled and next to the washer and dryers it has flies which is really lovely.
It's clean. It's quiet. Sometimes the laundry detergent vending machine isn't loaded well and I lose money. The vending machine for sodas is a bit expensive. And only 2 barely accessible electric outlets. But the laundering is affordable, and the establishment is close to where I live. There could also be more seating, perhaps with access to the tabletops for people who like to write and draw while they wait, and for those who can't stand for long periods of time while they tend to their clothing.
Clean, quiet and affordable. I was able to wash three loaves of clothes and one washing machine for 6 bucks. Can't beat it. The dryers work very well in the back. Will return again!
Pete's liquor owns the laundry spot, just call them if you have any issues. The coin machine took 20 dollars from me. Called Pete's liquor and they sent the maintenance man over.
Place was open early yesterday, clean and I had no problems with anything. Owner came in at 6:00 and greeted everyone there, apparently they are regulars. Traveling through Ithaca and was glad to find this place.
This place is a 1 minute drive from my new apartment so I was really hoping it would be nice and it really is! The place was clean, tons of open washers and dryers, having the choice between the single, double and triple load washers was really nice and 25 cents for 7 minutes on the dryers is pretty good! Did two big loads and both were completely dry in 21 minutes :- Plenty of parking too, would definitely recommend.
The good: $2.50 washers, triple loaders start at 4.50 for cold wash and super capacity $6. 7 min for 25-cents on dryers. Plenty of parking. Central location. The bad: Very poor maintenance has led to slime and mold in the fabric softener holding areas of the larger machines, frequently broken down machines and sometimes an empty coin dispenser. The nearby convenience store no longer will give rolls of quarters or allow use of rest rooms. Update 5/2020: Changed to 4 stars. Overall cleaner than before. Has been painted and the floors sealed. Improved maintenance. Washers still the cheapest in town: $2.75 for regular size. Starts at $4.75 for triple loader.
The place is usually always clean. The assistance are very nice, respectful and compliant. If ever I had a problem Pete, across the street, was very quick to come and take care of anything and also reimburse me for any losses. I know for a fact that they regularly clean out their dryers. Although sometimes my whites come out a little dingy depending on which machine I use, they have the best dryers for the cheapest price in town.
My first visit to this place wasn't the greatest. I had to go searching for change since the machine wouldn't take my Bills. I didn't see not one maintenance worker nor any worker. It looks like this is the go to place for the homeless to wash. I get it they need a laundromat too, it was just too much. I used the double load machines for my big load and had to spend an extra $4.75. Be cause the clothes weren't washed right. I think if they get someone to be in the place to tend to the customers they will be better.
Good machines and clean. When you want to wash with hot it's hot and being a mechanic I need reliable cleaning. Here I can get that . Been to some places where you can tell they are cheapin out with lukewarm water and. Barely maintaining machines. Pete's coin laundry has high dollar equipment that they clearly maintain well.
