We stopped to get some pictures and stretch our legs. It’s a beautiful viewpoint and got several good pictures. We also got to watch as some people did bungee jumping off the bridge! Pretty intense. Good for them, that takes a lot of trust and adventure inside.
I’ve been here a number of times before just never got around to reviewing the place. This place is a scenic viewpoint and rest stop combo. There’s plenty of parking including designated parking for semis and a restroom that out of all the times I’ve been here and used it is pretty clean as far as highway rest stops go. Oregon does seem to do a good job at keeping their rest stops clean. The old US-97 alignment is accessible by foot from the parking lot including the old Crooked River bridge that was closed off to automobile use 20+ years ago when the much wider bridge opened to the east. The old bridge is now for pedestrian use only. From the bridge you can see to the canyon bellow. Definitely keep a hold of your pets and children as it is a 300 foot drop to the bottom. There’s also plenty of grassy and shaded areas. Well worth the stop.
I usually stop here on the way to central Oregon to get out and stretch, use the bathroom, and enjoy the views. The restrooms are always well maintained and there is a soda machine. Keep a close eye on your small children and pets, as there is an area with a sharp 300 foot drop off overlooking the canyon. The last time I came here, there were people setting up for bungee jumping, pretty cool!
Fantastic spot, it's a regular stop for me traveling through the area because of the rest stop but I'd come here even if it wasn't on the main drag. Amazing view, three bridges, great view of the Sisters. Be very careful letting dogs out here! Playground: No playground Restrooms: Typical Oregon wayside, not great for handicap accessible stalls Dog-friendliness: 300 foot cliff keep dogs on leash or in vehicle at all times Picnic area: A few picnic tables around the park area under shade trees Barbecue: No public use barbecues
A fantastic rest area, hiking trails and vistas, abandoned bridge over a deep gorge. Definitely stop here! Signs say “no dogs” due to steep drops but my old man is super well behaved so it was all good. But definitely a warning for hyper pups!
What a beautiful area. 300 feet down. The scenery is gorgeous even on a rainy day. Nice flat pathways for walking or use of a wheelchair or powerchair. It is advised to leave dogs in the car and hold onto your kids.
Great spot for a quick break from driving with a neat view and picnic tables. There’s a lot of signs warning about dogs dying here. Apparently it’s a thing. Walking on the bridge was pretty epic but could be scary for folks with a fear of heights.
Easy to miss but definitely worth the stop. Extremely impressive canyon which has three bridges, one of which from 1926 that you can walk out on. The park and rest area are very beautiful.

What a great place to visit, the views are extraordinary. There are actually Three Bridges there, a road, a pedestrian bridge which was the original bridge which they use for bungie jumping, and the train. Be careful, it is a really long way down
