One of the most beautiful, serene parks I've ever been to. Truly a hidden gem. All of the picturesque photos posted online are so easy to experience and take on your own!
Lovely park for walking, kayaking, fishing and picnics. Very well maintained and clean. There is no swimming allowed here.
I couldn’t believe this was in my back yard and I never knew it! If you live in Peters / South Hills area, you have to visit at least once. My son loves to fish. Not all of his fishing spots are gorgeous. This one is, by far, my favorite and I can get a peaceful walk in :
Nice park to enjoy an afternoon. Beautiful scenery and some people fish here. Picnic area: There are a few picnic areas
This place is a hidden gem. I have lived in the South Hills all my life and never knew it was here. Walking around the trail will take about an hour. Mainly well maintained, but there are a few spots that are over-taken by roots that could make it hard if you have trouble walking. All flat areas. One main ramp for kayaking and canoeing. Lake is plenty big so you won't have a problem getting in. Water is DEEP, so just be mindful if that would make you nervous. GREAT picture spot for fall.
My dog and I had such a great time. Lots of are where my dog can swim at.. wasn't busy for a Sunday afternoon. Loved it.
Great park, the lake is really pretty. Nice walking trails. We took our inflatable kayak which was an easy launch with the kayak launch ramp. The lake is so still and peaceful, not too big! Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly for walking or dog swimming!
Cute little area and will definitely be back to explore more! They have a few benches and picnic tables and a few trails. We went recently to take prom pictures and it made a beautiful backdrop. Note - there is limited parking. You may have to park at one of the mini lots and walk down the road, but it's not a far walk.
Beautiful setting. No motorized boats allowed which makes it perfect for paddle boards with people of all ages. My 4 year old was able to practice going out on his own board without any stress. Lots of fishers around the lake and in the lake too. Highly recommend. Local tip; tell 'em Richard sent you!
Wonderful local place to take a walk, sit and enjoy nature, or fish. There is a loop around the lake you can walk, which takes you to nice views around the lake and in the woods. Chances are you'll see wildlife! This place is dog and kid-friendly.
