I was not impressed at all! I have a Chihuahua and I only found a very small handful of items that were appropriately sized for small dogs. What I did find was extremely overpriced! The only reason I gave 3 stars is that the staff was very kind and as helpful as they could have been.
My Husky loves PetSmart. He really gets excited soon as we pull into the parking lot. He also really enjoys going down and sniffing all the treats. I let him pick out what he wants and of course buy it for him or what's left of it sometimes. He really enjoys looking at the birds, lizards and fish as well.
I have worked here before, AND I shop here regularly, despite the lack of snakes being sold. I've heard a few stories about why they don't sell snakes, one of which being the sale of snakes in West Fargo is prohibited. Regardless of why, it makes me sad. But the store itself is always clean and well-stocked, with very kind staff!
Not only did PetSmart disappoint me with the inappropriate shave instead of a trim, but their response when I called to check on my dog during the grooming session was utterly disheartening. The staff informed me that my dog "isn't really enjoying anything we are doing and is throwing a huge fit, so it's going to take a while longer." This statement is deeply concerning and reveals a lack of empathy and understanding for my pet's well-being. It is their responsibility to ensure a safe and comfortable grooming experience for all animals, and their dismissive attitude only adds to the distress caused to my beloved companion. As a pet owner, it is devastating to hear that my dog was in such distress during the grooming process. It raises questions about how they handle animals and if they have properly trained professionals who can handle difficult situations with care and compassion. Their response not only demonstrates a lack of sensitivity towards animals but also a lack of professionalism in handling customer inquiries. It's evident that they failed to take ownership of the situation and provide any reassurance or understanding. This whole experience has left me deeply disappointed and disheartened. It is my responsibility to advocate for my pet's well-being, and I trusted PetSmart to prioritize their comfort and safety. Unfortunately, they failed to meet even the most basic expectations. In light of this incident, I urge all pet owners to think twice before entrusting their furry companions to PetSmart's grooming services. The lack of empathy, unprofessionalism, and poor communication displayed by their staff is a significant cause for concern and should not be overlooked. I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am with PetSmart's handling of my dog's grooming appointment. The inappropriate shave and the insensitive response during my call have shattered my confidence in their ability to care for animals and provide a positive grooming experience. I will be seeking grooming services elsewhere, and I hope this review helps others make informed decisions when it comes to their pets' well-being.
Made an appointment for our dog. Got there a few minutes early. They took her in and said it may take an hour or two. They said they had a person running late. She also said they would call and let us know. Her appointment was for 12:30pm. We didnt get our dog back till 3:10pm. I ask what took so long. The lady said, " we had alot of walk ins". I asked do you normally take walkins over appointments? She said kinda depends on whats going on. I wont make an appointment again. If they take walkins over appointment than its not worth making. 50 some dollars for a spa day was great. 10 dollars for a trim on her face, not so much. The worst part is she used to have a natural Mohawke and the lady cut it off of the top of her head....I said trim face not head. .
The staff are amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable. She advised me carefully on what to buy for a new hamster. Got home and arranged everything. My hamster loves it soo much.
I had to do a star to write a review. I dropped my 9pound chihuahua mix off to get his grooming. First time using this place, Petsmart in West Fargo ND. It will be the last. Drop off at 11:30 am and about 2 hours later I get a call that they are taking my dog to the emergency vet hospital because there was a grooming incident. My baby had to go under anesthesia and get stitches in his shoulder. He is now on an antibiotic and anti inflammatory for 10 days. He is traumatized and cowers when we try to pet him. His hair cut was about 1/2 way done. He looks absolutely ridiculous at this point. Never again will he go to a petsmart.
Wish I could give zero stars. We took our dog here for a grooming and on the notes it said to get the teddy bear cut. The first photo is what they did to our dog.. it’s so bad and also extremely uneven. He has been shaking since he got the shave. Second photo is what his usual cuts look like. Stay far away from pet smart cuts unless you want your dog to be completely shaved in an uneven manner.
All around good place can't go wrong wide selection and modern place. But when you have local pet store options like tropical fish shoppe and pet breaders here in fargo. I feel that is the better way. One thing I will say petsmart get right is price. Usally very well priced also they have a great selection on schooling fish too to check out but if you aren't tight on cash I would go local.
Please open more than one register, every time I come here it takes 15 minutes just to get through the checkout line. I end up going to petco moreoften because they open up more registers when the line gets long
