Peyton Cemetery Information
The Peyton Cemetery was deeded by Aquilla P. Hall and Austin Hall heirs of Charles Hall to Trustees Jos C. Zimmerman, Burke Potter and Homer Van Horn. April, 18, 1893. The Peyton Cemetery sign was made by Ray Dugan. Moses Spencer was the first burial in the cemetery 1892 he died on Christmas Eve. Lewis Adams died in 1891 and his remains were buried in the cemetery at a later date.

Peyton Cemetery is funded only by the selling of lots and spaces. The board works on a volunteer basis as do all of the many volunteers who take care of this peaceful resting place for many of our families.
