Our Story
PGELawsuit.com
On the evening of October 8, 2017 our lives were forever changed when devastating fires began burning out of control, north of Santa Rosa. The Tubbs Fire alone burned nearly 40,000 acres of land and destroyed over 5,000 homes and businesses across Sonoma, Napa, and Lake Counties, taking 22 lives.
Each one of us has friends, family, and neighbors impacted by this devastating event who lost loved ones, homes, businesses, pets, and life as they know it. As our community begins the long road to recovery, our team is committed to holding those responsible accountable and being a resource for all who were harmed.
Evidence is mounting that PG&E may have responsibility for starting the Tubbs Fire. Our team of experts is already analyzing the data and investigating the source of this tragic wildfire.
Our effort is built around a team of local professionals who live and work in this community and are deeply committed to seeing it recover.
- Noreen Evans spent decades representing northern California in the California State Legislature. Now, she’s working with our team to ensure the needs of those impacted by the fires are met.
- Doug Boxer has over 20 years of experience in law, politics, and government in California. Doug is working with our team to provide guidance and develop local partnerships.
- John Cox is a long-time northern California attorney who is providing our clients with the local service and attention they deserve and the legal expertise required in such a serious case.
To provide our clients with the best possible legal representation, we’ve also partnered with an experienced team of attorneys with a long record of taking on major cases against powerful interests – and successfully holding them accountable. These kinds of cases are not only about providing compensation for the victims – as important as that goal is – they are also about changing corporate cultures and behavior. Because in many instances, the only tool at our disposal – the only tool that can effect positive and long-lasting change – is the willingness of individuals to stand up to corporate power.
And that’s where we come in.
Mikal Watts and Frank Guerra have led successful litigation against some of the largest companies in America, like British Petroleum, Syngenta and Firestone, as well as PG&E. Watts Guerra LLP has taken on the largest and most powerful corporations in America – and won, yielding substantial verdicts and settlements and, more importantly, better consumer safety for all of us. Watts Guerra LLP isn’t afraid to stand up for your rights.
Garry Mauro and his firm, Mauro Archer & Associates LLC, has represented tens of thousands of clients across the country who have been harmed by major corporations and worked to hold those corporations accountable for their actions.
Together, these firms have the resources to invest the millions of dollars it takes to go into battle with the largest corporations in the world by employing the best experts, and using the most up-to-date technology available.
Together, our team has deep roots in our community, a commitment to seeing the victims of these fires fully recover, and the experience to hold the powerful accountable.
