The faculty believes that learning is a life-long process that promotes the survival and enhancement of human existence. It progresses from simple to complex. Learning occurs when there is a change in behavior resulting from a recognized need. Each student has dignity and worth and brings unique life experiences to the educational environment. Learning is maximized when it occurs in an environment, which is both positive and nurturing. Information and learning processes are organized through the use of objectives, plans, learning activities, relevant content and experiences and evaluation of program components and outcomes. The experiential practice component will occur in community settings where pharmacy services can be delivered in a manner consistent with the philosophy of the program.
