Phil's Sewing Machines was well worth the time and drive to get my precious baby fixed. I won my wonderful Pfaff sewing machine as the attendance prize at my first quilting show in Paducah, Ky many years ago. I realized what a great prize it was and took great care of it. The downside was there were very few places that serviced that brand in the St. Louis Area. Luckily I asked great sewing machine repair man who "knew a guy" if he could find the part do to the age of the machine.. Downside was The person was located in Washington MO. Now I am on "pins and needles" until my baby is back in my arms again.
This place is AMAZING! The owners and employees are very personable, and even give unlimited classes to help you get to know your new machine purchased from them. At the classes, the owners greet you and are present. Special thanks to Larry, Annette, Jill, and Jake who have been instrumental in helping me get restarted with sewing/embroidery, and for making it FUN! Come join us. Check out the website for a class that interests you. :
What a great experience. I traveled from out of state and was at the door first thing this morning with two broken machines that another sewing repair shop failed to be able to repair. My machines were done and ready to take back to Illinois with me by 3pm! What knowledgeable employees! I would encourage anyone to take all your machine needs to Phil’s.
After being misled by other dealers I discovered Phil's and have been delighted ever since. I have bought both new and used machines and have never been disappointed with the quality, service or knowledge that Larry provides. Being a customer for years i would never think of going anywhere else!
Years ago, I bought my first Pfaff Sewing machine from Larry and it Was a great machine. I am still using it and larry has always taken good care when necessary.Larry showed And explained how to use it and I have always been very happy the way they make you feel welcome and well taken care of .
I have purchased both my Pfaff & Babylock sewing & embroidery machines here for many years. Even though I now live 4 + hours away, I still purchase my machines from them! Outstanding service, and no questions go unanswered! Don't hesitate to stop in & talk with Larry & Annette about anything sewing, embroidery or quilting and you may just meet some new friends!!
I went to Phil's Sewing Machine Inc looking to buy a sewing /embroidery machine . beginner friendly .It is evident as to why they have been in business for 50 yrs. I'm looking forward to sewing with my Aventura and keeping this business a go to place for future needs!
If you are looking for a great place to purchase or take lessons, this is it. Larry, Annette and Jill are very helpful and knowledgeable on all the Babylock and Pfaff sewing, embroidery and serger/overlock/coverlock machines. They are happy to answer all questions by phone, email or in person, When I bought my 1st ever sewing machine last year, they took the time to answer all mine and my husband’s questions over several days before we made a decision. They have very competitive pricing and beat the competition by far when I was shopping for my machine. They offer classes for quilting, sewing and embroidery, which are small so that each person has a machine or maybe 2 at the most to a machine. Not like some other places that I have gone to for events or lessons where there or 3 or 4 people to a machine.
Thanks again for the great deal on my Ellisimo as well as for always taking such great care of my mom and me and our machines! I especially appreciate the personalized embroidery testing samples you included with my Elli with my name and initial—so wonderful! All of you make us feel like a part of the family every time we email, call, or stop by the shop. Thank you all!
This is the best place to take your machines in for service or look for a new machine. Larry and crew are friendly and so helpful. Cute little shop with machine and service on one side of the road and across the street quilting machines and class rooms. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Also its a nice drive out to Washington so enjoy the city while visiting.
