Philadelphia International Airport is a commendable hub that provides a generally positive travel experience, deserving of a solid four-star rating. My encounters with airport staff here have consistently been pleasant, marked by friendliness and professionalism. One of the notable positives of this airport is the variety and quality of stores available. Whether you’re looking for last-minute travel essentials, a bite to eat, or some shopping to pass the time, there’s a good selection to choose from. The shops cater well to the needs of travelers, offering both convenience and a range of options. However, when compared to other international airports, it becomes apparent that Philadelphia International could benefit from some updates and modernization. While it covers all the basic requirements of a good airport, there’s a noticeable difference in terms of contemporary amenities and overall aesthetic appeal. An update would greatly enhance the travel experience, bringing it up to par with the standards of leading international airports. In conclusion, Philadelphia International Airport does a commendable job in terms of service and retail options. The staff here are a standout feature, always ready to assist and making the travel experience smoother and more enjoyable. With some investment in modernization and infrastructure, this airport has the potential to rank among the top-tier international airports. It’s a solid choice for travelers, with room for growth and improvement.
It is pretty nice here. They have shops and restaurants all along it. Very easy to get through …better than Detroit. Everyone was very helpful and courteous all the way along my trip. The airport is real easy to get around. Could not find anywhere to change my phone so that was a down side. It was nicer in there than I expected.
Decent hotel. Plenty of food and shops to kill time. Clear direction signs. Was there late at night and unfortunately the bathrooms were quite stinky and messy Airport is filled with quirky art... spend a few moments and browse through them all.
Good airport. Happy they have a deluxe American Airlines lounge and it’s easy to navigate. I especially like that it tells you how long it should take to walk different distance in the airport. Helps you plan when you’re trying to catch a flight!
Very smoothly run airport. Clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. I used the Parking Spot for off-site parking and took their shuttle into the departing terminal for my airline. Everything was running smoothly and the baggage check system worked quickly and efficiently. The staff at the airline check out were professional and helpful. Almost all of the TSA employees were much friendlier than previous experiences going through TSA. The process was also quick and easy to navigate. The information was conveyed clearly as to what they needed and what I should be doing to go through the security checkpoint. The signage for navigation throughout the terminal itself was clear. I was able to fill my empty water bottle once through the security checkpoint at a water filling station located by standard water fountains. There are plenty of eateries, impulse item shops, and stores that sell travel related items that might be of use, if you forgot to bring anything for your trip. My specific gate did not have any power outlets available for phone charging or any other mobile devices but the areas were clean and well run.
This is a large airport but the lounge like atmosphere as soon as you deplane is amazing. It makes you feel welcomed when you arrive and gets you relaxed before you take off. I want one I'm Chicago.
known as PHL, is a bustling transportation hub located in the heart of the Northeastern United States. With its modern facilities and convenient location just seven miles from downtown Philadelphia, PHL offers a variety of amenities It carries more than 30 million passengers every year and that number is constantly growing. THERE ARE 7 Terminal A West, East, B, C, D, E & F at this airport. Terminals A West, East, Terminal B, and Terminal C handles American Airlines for domestic as well as international flights. Terminal D is where Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines have taken residence. In Terminal E, JetBlue Airways, Frontier Airlines, and Southwest Airlines have their gates. I was at Terminal E and it was 7 AM, not sure but around waiting chairs near to boarding gates- trash was everywhere. I don't want to assume, might be morning time and the cleaning crew would have cleaned it later, but what I saw, I did not like that much. The restroom was good though. Plenty eating options Bud & Marilyn’s: This is a great place to stop for American-styled food such as chicken tenders, burgers, and sandwiches! Noobar: This Japanese ramen and sushi restaurant Bar Symon: This is a great place to stop for a leisurely meal with options such as gastro burgers, fries, Parking: I use ARB parking near it. but of course, the Airport does have its parking lot short & long-term.
It's a decent, larger-sized airport. Lots of shopping, decent food offerings, and lots of seating with chargers. The problem is that once you leave the airport, you are in Philadelphia--kind of a downer city overall. Downsides: no CLEAR service. Uber pickup locations are not terribly clear they have different 'color' pickup areas, which is a small line on a sign, and the staff in most restaurants and stores don't seem terribly motivated. I really dislike visiting this city but the airport is at least a decent experience.
My experience at this airport was just ok. Nothing too exciting. It's quite big. One thing I liked about it, though, is that they had charging ports everywhere, and they catered for android, USB, USC. The toilets had automatic tissue dispensers, and the toilet flushes itself automatically, too, which is just marvelous. There is no need to touch surfaces. The only issue is when filthy people use the toilets, there weren't cleaners tidying up frequently. It's quite a busy airport too.
An airport showing its age. While efficient enough, this place is crowded, dirty, and horrifically inefficiently designed for boarding planes. The American lounge in terminal C is pretty nice though, as it’s newer. The bustling crowds average and neon signs new do little to detract from the claustrophobic halls and overall decaying vibe of the place. It’s not like you have a choice when flying to and from Philadelphia, but let’s hope the next decade has an upgrade in store here!
