The PA that did my full body skin exam was great - warm, professional, willing and able to answer all of my questions. Great job. I only leave off one star because it feels like the practice has gotten very “corporate” - I receive generic emails from advanced dermatology a couple times a week now, and when I went to call to just ask where the new office was, I was sent into a maze of automated answers, and had no idea how to actually speak to a real person. Had Jared the PA and Amanda The young woman who did my initial intake not been so good, I was planning to leave the office to look for a smaller less corporate feeling practice. I may still have to do that since they are a tier 3 on my insurance, and therefore charge a much larger co-pay then other local offices.
Chelsea as staff is great practitioner. Office communication is awful. One of two subscriptions was not submitted. I left 3 messages on 3 different days to request 2nd subscription. 4th day and 4th call I found a person who was going to send urgent message to that site's office manager and clinical staff to follow-up. I was told I would get a call back. No call back and no subscription sent and filled. I am stopping by office on Monday on purpose to get a paper script. If this was the first time there were communication problems I would not post. This is my first time in my life with negative post. Clinical work is the best, but be prepared for communication problems.
My daughter and I came here as new patients today and we had a great experience! The 2 receptionists were amazingly helpful with my 2 year old daughter who was overwhelming as I was trying to check us in. They were accompanying her as I was filling out the necessary forms and I am so appreciative! I will be returning for any future needs and would recommend them to others!
Making my appointment was easy, I was seen promptly and the attention and care I received was excellent. The staff are friendly and professional
I have been going to this place for many years now. Their Surgeon is the best!! Nobody can tell I have had surgery on my face twice.
This place does not answer their phones. I visited CVS 7 times to pick up 2 prescriptions thanks to their inadequacy. I spent a full hour at labcorp just waiting for my information to be faxed over. Getting in touch with someone was ridiculously hard, and when I finally did, she was rude and short with me. 20 minutes later, and labcorp still hasn’t received a fax. I call back and I tell them there is no fax. A different, but similarly rude woman answered the phone and tried to convince me that I just needed to be patient. It took her some convincing, but she finally agreed to read me back the fax number I gave them. The original lady somehow mixed up a 3 for a 9 they don’t sound similar whatsoever which resulted in another 20 minutes wasted. The only good parts of this office are Jared and Amanda. They are both very good at their jobs, and seem to be kind people. Besides that, this doctor office is a nightmare to deal with.
I have no idea if this is the Philadelphia Institute of Dermatology, but I scheduled an appointment with Advanced Dermatology of Flourtown for an annual, as I usually do, and the receptionist never once thought to mention that the office moved, is not found anywhere online and there is no phone number or address listed on Google anymore. I spent 20 min at the old office location trying to call and reach someone to ask and

As a new patient I felt welcomed and extremely comfortable. The staff, both administrative and medical, provided excellent service. So happy that I found this practice!
Appt on time Jared explained each step and I felt well cared for Thank you!
