Our inspiration and experience has roots going back to 1983 when Tony Gowen started making the first surfboard repair kits for surf shops around his home in Haleiwa, Hawaii. High performance and attention to environmental impact came as a natural reaction to the powerful surf and beautiful surroundings… today Phix Doctor continues to lead with innovative firsts like the only patented fiberglass repair kit – The Micro Kit, and the First UV Light Repair Kit , Dura Rez Deluxe – For repairs inside or at night using our SunPowered resin and an Ultra Violate Flash Light. We also offer the only kit made from 50% bio-based epoxy resin and bamboo fiberglass.
Committed to being the greenest choice you can make, Phix Doctor uses flexible packaging that’s more efficient when it comes to shipping, storing and landfill impact, reducing our carbon footprint to 1/23rd of the rigid plastic containers used by our competitors. Phix Doctor also reclaims fiberglass cutaways discarded from the manufacturing process of our areas surfboard and stand up paddleboard manufacturers. And we are proud to say that over half of our products are styrene free and boast an endless shelf life – reducing the chance of waste caused by premature hardening.
