Great food quality but the service is what truly sets it apart. Everyone was really pleasant and hard-working. When serving the food they picked the best pieces, added gravy/toppings/etc., and made suggestions-all with a smile. I felt like they treated it as if making their own lunch. One of the few chains that is just as amazing as I remember from being a kid.

I had the liver. Had to Waite a few minutes but I wasn't in a hurry so no problem. It was just wonderful and the Mexican cornbread was also. And the broccoli salad was the best. It was made by a young lady that took great pride in making her broccoli dish. She was a delightful employee enjoyed talking to her. Our server was also very attentive. It was probably the best supper my sister and I have had in a long time.

Mixed review....First the service was impeccable. Secondly, the liver, gravy and grilled onions was fresh and tender. However, the sweet tea was not sweet. Finally, dessert...sweet potato pie tasted like pumpkin pie full of nutmeg. I did alert the server and I got the Italian cream cake. I was full and I brought it home to enjoy...omg...It tasted like onions and bell peppers. Mixed emotions. Will I return probably yes, no tea and no dessert.

We love the mac and cheese. My chicken tenders were not as done as well as I like. The friendly ladies fixed the issue. We enjoyed a slice of red velvet cake. Will visit again.

My husband had the blacken fish and said it was great. The mashed potatoes and gravy I thought were flavorless until I tasted the mac and cheese. It was like a warm tasteless mess. Even with the melted cheese on top it didn't help. We probably won't go again. The lady on the serving line, the cook, the cashier and the lady in the dining room were very friendly and made the visit better.

The staff is awesome. They go out of there way to help a disabled lady with smiles on there faces. Not to mention the food is awesome good ol country food and the deserts so many hard to choose but I reckon end trying lemon ice box. Love the food and employees they make a hard task easier. May God bless them for being my angels

This used to be our family’s go-to restaurant. But you can tell just by looking at how small the crowd is now that poor management is causing it to go downhill. The roast beef, even at 11am, is already well-done and dried out. They never have enough fried chicken cooked. Your child shouldn’t ever have to wait at a buffet for 15min for a chicken leg! They have certainly changed the macaroni and cheese recipe because that used to be the best stuff ever, but now it’s just tasteless and soggy. And the health department should really check the temperature on their hot bar because the vegetables are always cold lately. The saving grace is their servers, who are always fantastic ladies that have been there for years. But even they can’t magically make the food edible.

I have been going here for five years. The carrot souffle is a one of a kind taste. All of the waitress are nice. Cynthia a waitress is wonderful. She works from lunchtime to early evening on the left side. I give this amazing place a 5 star rate for the satisfaction.

Food was great, service was friendly. Restaurant was not busy and the environment was comfortable. The restrooms badly need renovating 3 of 4 toilets were out of order, and the furnishings are a bit worn out, but the overall dining experience was okay.

Awesome! The Pea Salad was excellent. I had the four veggie plate, watermelon tea, and a pone. This is what you would do for yourself and the family if your best wasn't empty. It's in the mall so it's clean, quiet, and relaxed. Smiling faces. Happy people who are glad you stopped o er work here. Enjoy your meal
