Pickering Storage

Very nice staff. Clean, convenient storage units with lights and heat to protect our belongings without paying a whole lot. The hours of accessing our unit is really necessary for us since we both work all day!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Staff not reliable AT ALL!!! I live one hour from this place. All hree times I’ve been there, the office has been closed during their business hours. -They do not answer the phone in the mornings and they do not return calls promptly. -Staff incompatant * “forgot” to finish the process of entering my access code, therefore upon my first attempt to access, the gate would not open when I arrived with 3 movers and a moving truck to unload my furnishings into the unit. Oh and no one was there to open the gate or fix the problem? NO no one!!! Apparently, she had ran an errand and didn’t have the courtesy to leave a note on the door. She finally returns after 30 minutes and activated my access code. -Unreliable, second attempt during business hours, again gate won’t open.... I ring the door bell. No one answers....Finally after 10 calls I give up drive an hour home and call some more....she calls back two days later. She was home that day but to ill to answer the door, even though she knew I was there ringing the door bell. -Again, Staff Incompetence- staff fails to complete the process for my request to auto pay. It’s not until 6 months after my initial account opening when I learn I cannot enter the premises for a second time because of non-payment! What? Wait.... No letter, no call, no notification at all that there was a problem with my account? Are you people crazy? Why has it not been auto deducted as requested? Again she admits she failed to finish the paperwork! I absolutely hated this horrible lazy business ethic. Office hours are posted as 8-4. Forget it!!! -MOVE OUT DAY. I’m there with a moving van, my 80 plus father and I cleaning out the unit. I ask the gal what needs to be done after I’m finished. STAFF:“Just come knock on the door and tell me” ME: OK,..., 5 pm I go knock on the door and an on-site guy opens the door. I ask “do I need to sign something I’m ou.... before I finish my sentence he loudly stated “WE ARE CLOSED” and he literally shuts the door to my face. if you’re thinking about PICKERING STORAGE I say think twice DONT DO IT!!! You’ll not get the 8-4 work ethic from the current on-site staff. Shame on them. After 3 attempts to get into my unit without issues....I realized these people do NOT deserve my business. NOT EVER!!! I’m out and glad to be out!!!

The owners and managers are the best people you will ever meet. Well run secure storage facility with cameras. I feel safe storing my stuff here and would recommend it to anyone.

Great secure storage facility. We've stored our stuff here for years. It's never been messed with. Never any moisture or pest issues. Highly recommend.
