Time management is a huge issue at this office. I don't know if it's the fronts, the backs, or the labs fault but you will have a wait whether you like it or not. It always take over an hour just to get a room to see the doctor and then you have to wait even more for the doctor to come see you. This is really hard on me because I have a toddler with a babysitter, plus sitting for long periods of time while pregnant is extremely uncomfortable. Also, they never tell you what will be completed/done at the next appointment so each time you come it's a suprise. The staff is sweet but this issue needs to be addressed ASAP! I don't know if it's the lack of management, but something just needs to be done.
Just moved here from GA and found out I was pregnant. This was by far the worst practice I have visited. The staff didn't care that I was high risk and refused to give me an ultrasound till I was 12 weeks. I had a UTI which can harm an early pregnancy and the doctor waited 2 weeks to contact me to let me know. When I questioned her and told her I was dissatisfied with the service thus far she had an attitude with me. Cancled all further appoints and will look elsewhere
I’ve been going here for years and used to see Dr. Warren who was amazing. He was patient and answered all my questions and concerns. Unfortunately, I had to reschedule my appointment for my yearly exam, and the receptionist told me if I did that, I would be with a new Doctor from now on. I was thinking that’s weird. So I got rescheduled with Messengil, and every time I have seen her, she’s dismissive and rushes me out even when I have concerns. She told me last time I was there when she was looking over my ultrasound that she didn’t know what to tell me other that I need to see an RE. I walked out and I was pretty disappointed. So I called a week later and asked about my labs again and the nurse took days to call me back and finally gave me what I asked for. Anyway, none of that helped me, and I started to look for another OB. I found out today that she wasn’t even Board Certified, but a physician assistant. This has been super disappointing and I am so thankful to have found an actual OBGYN at another practice. Oh and another thing, they billed my insurance as infertility when and ultrasound is not that at all. I’ll be calling the billing department to see what they can do about this bill I have…. I’ve had ultrasounds done in the past and my same insurance did cover it.
I will be returning to my original ob. The wait time is extremely long. Each time I have been here their equipment either doesn't work or you have to go to multiple stations just to get your blood pressure checked. It's really horrible. Especially, since I am pregnant and having to wait over an hour just to see one of the random doctors in the office. I come in at least 20 minutes prior to my appointment to avoid the possible wait time and even that isn't enough. I plan on switching to my original ob for the remainder of my pregnancy. My patience is completely gone with this office!
Thankful for Piedmont Women's! I don't normally write reviews online, but as I was looking up a fax number, I saw this office had a negative review. I feel like I have to share our experience because I want others to experience what we have with our OB. I have seen multiple doctors at this office and have been pleased with all of them, but Dr Warren is who we have chosen to see on a regular basis. We have been so pleased with him and this staff that we have continued to use him even though we have left SC and moved to Atlanta, GA. Dr Warren delivered my first child in 2010 when we lived in SC and he agreed to care for us during our second pregnancy this past year even though we had moved to GA. Although my first pregnancy was as easy as you could have, we did not have the same experience with the second. Dr Warren and his nurse Pam were amazing as they had to consistently deliver not the best news. Nothing was ever detrimental, but at 20 weeks, it eventually got to a place where they felt it was best for me to find a doctor in Atlanta because complications were becoming a more significant problem. I was absolutely broken hearted to have to find a new doctor, but we did. Every two weeks we would be seen by specialists and my new OB. Although I know I received excellent care from all doctors who cared for our sweet boy, I continued to call Pam and Dr Warren to talk through results I was receiving. They have always been able to talk to me in ways that help me understand what is happening but also provide a level of comfort as they tell me. At 28 weeks our baby developed hydrops and they had to take him. Our precious son fought for 4 and a half hours before he passed. We are now facing many questions and fears and Dr Warren is the OB who is willing to take all the tests results from all doctors and hospitals and help us find some peace and make decisions about future pregnancies. You CANNOT ask for a better doctor to care for you during such a significant season of life. Not only do I have an incredible amount of confidence and trust in this team, they feel like family because of the way they have cared for us.
Do not pay attention to the negative reviews here as some people simply cannot be pleased. Our family absolutely loves Dr. Warren! This office has seen my daughter through all 3 pregnancies, myself through initial findings of ovarian cancer & after witnessing my experience with Dr. Warren, they will also be seeing my daughter-in-law through her pregnancy. Based on the experience of myself, my children & several of my friends, I would definitely recommend Piedmont Women's Healthcare for anyone searching for the best OBGYN group.
Have seen all the docs here on multiple occasions but Dr.Warren is who I prefer... Immaculate care and very personable doctor. His nurse, Pam, is amazing also. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I have going here 7+ years and would not consider going to see anyone other than Dr.Warren. I don't mind seeing the other doctors when I have to but you know you've found a great doctor when they make you feel comfortable and at ease during procedures, child birth & labor, and exams. I feel very confident and secure with anything he recommends or suggests. Ladies, he is the bestttt!
Why are all the recent reviews only negative? Wanted to schedule to be seen here but the reviews are scaring me, why is the care is South Carolina so low at all the Medical group of the Carolinas? Do they not care about their customer service? Their service to their patients? It’s not a successful business practice if you don’t take care of your customers.
The medical work done is great, but I can't ever get through to talk with someone. The phone lines say they are closed in the morning when I know they are not and they only seem to return my calls after business hours. Thank God I don't have an emergency.
Kathryn Massengill is amazing! I used to see her at her old office she worked at and was devastated not only when she moved offices but when I found out that my insurance dropped all of Spartanburg Regional and I couldn't see her anymore. When my insurance changed at the beginning of the year, I went right back to Kathryn. She is so kind and personable, and truly wants to help. Highly recommend her!
