The Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity has been at the University of Wyoming since 1986. Originally founded in 1868, it boasts as one of the highest total initiated members since 1868 with well over 250,000. The Iota Alpha Chapter at the University of Wyoming consistently competes and challenges the other fraternities on campus. In the spring semester of 2011, they held the highest active members GPA of any other fraternity. While also following their 2010 Intramural Campus Championship with a close second place finish in 2011. PIKE has also won three of the last four Homecoming float competitions partnering with Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Delta Delta and Chi Omega. PIKE is based off of SLAG, standing for Scholars, Leaders, Athletes and Gentleman. Every member of the fraternity is charged with the goal to hold these ideals above all else and to strive in everyday life to meet and excel in these four areas.
