Very nice picnic type park. Only down side really, is how small it is. Definitely not a "hike" but if you wanted a nice loop to jog with lots of quick elevation gains this would be an ideal intermediate jogging space. Also a fun walk for doggos.
This one was a bit lack luster. The main path was flat, but pretty rocky. It would make a pretty bumpy ride for someone in a wheelchair or stroller and wouldn’t be ideal for someone who wasn’t very sure on their feel. The pictures will show you what I mean a little more clearly. There were a lot of side paths that were skinnier and steeper than the main one, but a more authentic “woods” experience. It would be pretty fun for older kids who aren’t old enough to go alone, but want to feel independent. From the parking lot, the easiest way to get to the pond is to take the right hand path. If you follow the left path, it will take you to a road unless you cut across to the other path about half way through. I found that looking at my google map as I was walking was the easiest way to find the place to cross over. Not too muddy, even though it had rained the day before.
A quiet, flat trail that runs through a forested area with a small pond about midway through. The parking lot is free, unpaved and small not a criticism, just pointing out what to expect. Parts of the trail are a bit muddy on wet days, so you may want to come prepared when walking your dog. There’s a convenient trash bin at the entrance of the trail. Would recommend for a short, peaceful walk!
Pine Ridge is a quaint park. There are a couple of dog-friendly trails that are well-maintained. Walking the stretch of the park takes ~10 minutes, give or take. Parking and a portable loo are available, too!
Good place for hiking in forests setting.
Comfortable trail with gentle grade and resting benches. Impressive Douglas-firs of utility pole quality. A natural stand that is near maturity.
Gorgeous location with pathways for simple biking or strollers and a bit off pathways to feel like you’re hiking. Loved it
Amazing trail in middle of city. This consists of many smaller trails and one of them is quite big. Totally recommend it for weekend fun.
Nice park to walk my older dog as the main path is flat. It is also wide enough for social distancing. There are also some narrower trails that follow the ridge line.
Great area to walk around with my dog. Lucky to live near it.
