The Pinecrest Police Department is a full service community oriented police agency, and one of seven Public Safety Answering Points (911) in Miami-Dade County. The department is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies and the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation. Services include Patrol, School Resource Officers, Crime Scene Investigators, Crime Prevention Unit, Traffic Enforcement Unit, Police Canine Unit, Police Dispatching, Community Service Aides, Crossing Guards, and the Criminal Investigations Section, which comprises of the Detectives, Crime Suppression Team and Crime Analyst.
