I walk my dog through this park sometimes and it's always pleasant. The playground area seems well-built and the grass inside of the park area is always pretty well maintained. my biggest complaints are that the edges of the park towards Pinehurst itself are always pretty neglected, with a dead raccoon being abandoned next to the sidewalk on the grass for well over a month. Other than that, it's always been nice to walk through!
I have been coming to this park for 50 years. It has changed some since I was a boy but it is still an excellent neighborhood park. From my childhood there are still the outdoor basketball courts, the sprinkler with shallow pool, and the softball field which have been well maintained. There is a community center with classrooms and an indoor court for sports. Everything is well maintained and the facilities are clean.
Robert McCray is an outstanding example of leadership. I'm glad to have caring people like him in the community
