Vy is the owner of Pink Icing immigrated to Saint John where she started her first job as a cake decorator at Mc'Phees Bakery. She shortly discovered that she was very passionate about baking cakes and various sweets which led her to open her very first business Pink Icing Custom Sweets & Cafe.

I had my wedding Sept 3rd and ordered the cupcakes well before hand and the date comes and no cupcakes so my maid of honor calls and she acts confused… so I get on the phone and she said she’s been sick and unable to do so. This is what gets me, I could have fixed the situation if I had a few days to do so my sister in law makes cakes and my bridesmaids is also amazing at cakes but it’s 7pm on a Sunday on a long freaking weekend… I’m 41 and always wanted cupcakes for my wedding and I waited forever to get married and it was ruined because someone couldn’t own up to not being able to do until asked for the order… very unprofessional, I now have no cake for my one year anniversary since there wasn’t any superstore cake left… this will be a memory that will last forever since a cupcake tower was my dream well before it was even a thing. I’m also from Manitoba, so I travelled for this wedding a long ways and wasn’t at home to make things right : do not recommend, I would have been fine if she owned up and made it possible to fix the situation, but being a business owner isn’t obviously her forte
Terrible customer service. We ordered our wedding cake months in advance had to pay the 700 upfront, we came from Manitoba to new Brunswick for the wedding and the day of the wedding the cake never got delivered. When I called to asks when it was coming she informed me she didn't even make it so the grooms brother had to go and buy superstore cakes. She didn't even apologize.
We hired Pink Icing to make our wedding cake. Vy understood our vision perfectly and created the most beautiful cake for our special day. She delivered the cake herself and generously stayed to ensure that our cake topper was placed correctly, going that extra mile to make sure that it looked incredible. And not only did it look incredible, it also tasted incredible. Everyone loved it. We had leftover cake, and everyone wanted some haha. We were also able to freeze our top layer for ourselves, and we are very much looking forward to eating it when the time comes. We would definitely recommend her business after ordering from her twice and would order from her again in the future.
We ordered a cake on our daughter's birthday. My daughter selected a rainbow cake from the internet. Pink Icing made the exactly the same cake. She loved it. Cake tasted so good. Definitely recommend Pink Icing to our family and friends. Thanks Pink Icing..
They made exactly what I was looking for and it was one of the most delicious cakes I’ve ever had in my life. My daughter loved it!! Will be ordering my cakes here for every occasion from here on out, 10/10!
A perfect experience with Pink Icing. She took my special order for a Vegan cake on a Monday and it was ready by Friday. It was worth every penny! The store has a great location, is very clean and organized with a great selection of out the door sweets and the owner and employees are very friendly. I would recommend Pink Icing for anyone who wants a custom made or special order cake. I’d give 10 stars if I could!!

BEST PLACE TO GET A WEDDING CAKE IN SAINT JOHN! We got our wedding cake from Pink Icing and wow did they do an amazing job. I sent a picture from pinterest and they were able to copy exactly how I wanted the cake. It blew me away when I saw it! Not only was it beautiful but tasted amazing we got so many compliments from our guests telling us how delicious the wedding cake was. We had both vanilla and fudgy brownie. It was soooo good!
We were very impressed with the wedding cake I ordered from Pink Icing for my son’s wedding. It went above and beyond our expectations. Vy was very professional and was great to work with. I would highly recommend her for her wonderful cakes. I will definitely be ordering from here again. Loved this cake!!!
I have never, and I mean never been disappointed with a baked item from this store. Most recently I ordered my mothers birthday cake from here, and as always it was outstanding!! Not only that but I was in a down right panic trying to find a cake at the last minute and sure enough pink icing came throu and were able to make me one to pick up later in the day. Incredible staff, incredible service.
