Lets face it, cycling in the City of Pittsburgh can be dangerous. Cars, uneven terrain, dogs, and even other cyclists can pose serious hazards on the road. Bike laws have been passed and bike lanes have been created. But motorists seem to ignore the bikes laws (or they are not enforced) and intersections can be tricky even when you’re in a bike lane.
In spite of the apparent dangers, we’re going to get out on the roads because cycling is our passion; it’s a way of life. I know because cycling is my passion. For others, cycling is a means of transportation or a part of their job. As cyclists, we’re committed, driven individuals.
