The Pittsburgh Emergency Medicine
Foundation (PEMF) is an independent non-
profit Foundation that is committed to providing financial support for research and educational endeavors in the field of emergency medicine.
The goals of the Foundation are as follows:
To conduct and encourage basic and clinical research in emergency medical care and related fields that will enhance knowledge and improve emergency medical care and its delivery;
To provide sponsor and promote education and training for residents, medical students, fellows, faculty members, practicing physicians, paramedical personnel and the lay public; and
To act as a support group for the research and educational activities of residents and fellows of the University of Pittsburgh Affiliated Residency in Emergency Medicine.
