Wasn't a busy night, but somehow it took 15 minutes for the server to greet us and get our drinks. The waiter was very nice otherwise. Pizza, however, was on the more disappointing end. I know it's a franchise and all, but my other Uno's experiences at other locations have produced much better tasting food.
My wife and I go here very regularly; probably 20 times now. Our only major complaint is that some of the food they have had for a limited time was incredibly good, but it never gets added as a regular menu option. Generally speaking you can get some pretty awesome pizzas here. The multi-grain crusts are actually delicious and even better than the normal ones. The new deep dish 9-grain crust thing is unbelievably good. The desserts are great, and we go back and forth between the peanut butter cup and the deep-dish cookie.
Poor service was due to a hopefully new server. Drinks were watered down a martini should not taste like tonic water and medium well burger for my girlfriend came out very medium rare. Overall bad experience for a chain I usually enjoy. Wanted to add in an edit: the manager was extremely understanding and comp'd the drinks, apologized for the burger and was otherwise pleasant.
First time eating at uno grill and it's also our last time. The hostess sat us at a table by the door. When we asked to be switch to another table she claimed it was reserved, but yet there were at least 5 other available tables which she didn't bother to sit us there. Out of courtesy we didn't want to trouble the hostess so we just sat down and it turned out to be freezing because there was a draft going through the door. When the food finally arrived the waiter left out one of the order but he didn't explain what happened and just left our table. We waited and waited for the other dish but it never came till my husband stood up to ask the waiter and that's when he said it fell in the kitchen and they were making a new one which will come out in 2 minutes. At this point we didn't want that dish knowing it dropped. You never know if was brushed off or they actually made a new one. The waiter didn't take it well and argue heatedly it would only take a few minutes. In the meanwhile we were very cold and all of us finished with our food except for my husband. We asked to speak with the manager who didn't seem too eager to solve the problem with an attitude of his own. Eventually he apologized and promised us some coupons. We paid for the bill but the manager never came back with the coupon. At this point we had enough with this place and left. This establishment has the most inefficient and unprofessional employees we have ever came in contact with and it just made our family night out unpleasant and memorable - we will remember never to go back again.
They advertise brewing their own beer. We went on a Staurday night. They only had 3 diffrent beers on tap. The manager explained they were having a problem with their pumps. Okay, it happens. So I looked at the bottled beer menu. They have more than 20 bottled beers listed. I attempted to order some beer from this menu. Again I was thwarted. The manger explained they only had 5 different of these beers. None of them craft beers. Eventually I tried a house IPA. It was fine. I ordered a different beer for my 2nd round. The waitress brought me the wrong beer. Our experience at this restaurant was strange. It seems like they do not care about having their beverages in stock or even having good customer service.
So we came to the one in woodbridge nj for the first time and at first the hostess was sweet so I thought this would be a good experience. Our food came in a decent timing. Although I feel like they are a tad bit over price for their quality and quantity of food. My boyfriend payed 13 dollars for a regular sized burger and 5 onion rings. Literally 5 onion rings. Well I'm actually sitting in the restaurant as I'm writing this and we have stopped eating for over 10 mins before they acknowledge us. Also my beverage has been empty since my food came out. Let's just say our first and last time at this place I would rather wait an hour at Texas road house than come here again.
The most terrible experience of my life. It smells, the benches and tables are sticky, the floor and walls are dirty and have webs, the food is not good, the waiter had no knowledge about the items on the menufarro salad in particular. the breadsticks were baked a day before and were warmed up in the microwave and were dry, the cranberry rice was sour and smelled bad. NEVER AGAIN!!!
My first time at a unos and i was extremely displeased with the quality. I compare the quality if their pizza to Little Caesars. The mozzarella sticks look like fish sticks and taste like something you get on the dollar menue at McDonalds. Their deep dish pizza is way off the mark of what deep dish actually is...food is nasty.
Chicago style pizza! Very upset that they are permanently closing soon. When we went most recently, they were out of several appetizers. When we asked why that was, they told us they were permanently closing in a few weeks due to the owner of the property raising the rent and them just not doing enough business to afford it. Disapointing, I like this place.
There is a surprisingly about of healthy food on the menu to be a "pizza" place. Try the deep dish with a house beer. Yes, they are also a small brewery. During lunch, they feature an all you can eat soup.
