The Plainview Fire Department is an all volunteer fire department located in Long Island, New York. The Plainview Fire Department is responsible for protection of approximately 30,000 residents. The FD protects approximately 10 square miles. Engine One is located at headquarters is located on Old Country Road.
The Plainview Volunteer Fire Department is committed to protecting the people, property, and environment within our community through our efforts to provide the highest quality of service. To accomplish our mission we will provide fire suppression and prevention programs, a state of the art pre-hospital care system, and effective scene management. We will stand ready to support and assist other fire service organizations in accomplishing their missions. In addition, we recognize our members as essential to the realization of our mission.
