Welcome Home!
The Beginning
Started in 1995 as an art gallery where the 4 directions of the planet intersect in a dynamic center of creative energy. The colors of the 4 directions represent all the nations..colors and shades of people...red, yellow, black and white--and corners of the earth--east, south, west and north. The first four shows honored, respectively, the indigenous peoples (red) with an exhibit for Burgess Roye (Ponca) and Marilyn Wounded-Head (Dakota); Paula Endo, Japanese American (yellow); Yvonne Pickering-Carter, African-American (black) and Freya Hite, Caucasian (white). It was well received by the community and subsequent exhibits included shows like "Surfing Chaos" with a drum circle frenzy, "The Elders exhibit" for artists over 60, "Raw Art" with art by youth at risk and many local exhibitors that brought their vision forth over the years with amazing collaborative energy.
Now
An arena for fine art, performance art, music and poetry offered in a arts-lifestyle shop, where everything, truly speaks with artistic savvy, designed to allow for joy and playfulness...an experience of being alive and in tune with the creative self. Exhibits and classes are offered on a regular basis and sales of retro furnishings and vintage fashions supports the art gallery in a way that brings the past into the present and inspires the future. We are well known for two open community art exhibits each year: "The Dark Show" and "Gifts for the Goddess," celebrating the coming of Winter at the end of the year and the coming of Spring at the beginning. Cycles of energy are part of the creative life force that moves through us and determines our direction and our artist endeavors. Join us for this celebration of Life and Art!
