This place smells like dirty feet because all of the shoes are right next to my face when I’m shopping the shoes are on top of the racks each one of them and it smells really really bad the whole entire store smell like stinky feet they should just get a rack for all the shoes because it really really stinks
Really bad customer service, orange hair girl seemed to hate her life and was extremely rude the entire time I was here. Rolled her eyes and barely spoke whenever I asked her a question. I could also tell they didn’t go through my clothes and only took one thing off the top of my bags. Definitely do not recommend coming to this location or trying to sell your clothes here
The employees only look at the top layer of the clothes you bring in. Pretty lame since I drove 45 mins there. You have a sign saying you want lululemon and I bring a nice lululemon jacket and don’t buy it? I had a lot of cute trendy clothes WITH TAGS at the bottom of my bin but they wouldn’t know because they only sorted through the top layer. I know because everything was folded the exact same way at the bottom and not even touched. They sell Victoria’s Secret PINK tops that are worn down and ugly but won’t buy actual clothes that are in season and have tags. Yeah wouldn’t recommend, just go to the one in Salem instead if you’re trying to sell. Better employees that actually look at the items you bring in and also pay more. I was paid $2 today for them to take the top half of a two piece set with tags and let me keep the bottom half. Why???? At least take the bottoms that go with it, it would be more likely to sell that way since it’s a set??! Disappointing
workers are incredibly rude and don’t even look through all your stuff, they only want ugly nike dri fit tees that no ones gonna buy and they also dont price things correctly and try to change the price on us when we go to check out. dishonest people with no taste don’t give them your money go to local thrift stores instead they actually care about the community
They give you top dollar for the items you bring in and they have amazing deals on clothes and shoes
I used to love going to Plato's Closet before it was moved to Beaverton and was a loyal customer since 2018. It seems the customer service since the move has gone downhill and the employees are consistently rude and treat customers like they aren't worth their time.
This is the second time we have shopped at the Beaverton Plato’s Closet and both times we had great experiences. The clothing is extremely well organized and the selection is great. The employees are super helpful, relieved me of an arm load of clothes so that we could keep looking for more items. The employees working the dressing rooms did a fantastic job keeping up with the clothing to go back on the racks and in keeping things running smoothly. The store itself is large and flows nicely. Hopefully in time more dressing rooms will be added. Exceptional customer service all around. A++++
I honestly don't know why so many people leave one star reviews. My daughter loves Plato's, and goes all the time. All the clothes she's purchased are trendy and in amazing condition. The employees are very nice, and are happy to help out:
I ONLY review when a place deserves it. First, I was greeted by a kind employee who said they were going to take care of my clothes and provide me good service. They said it would be a half hour so I did some errands to kill time. Once I got the text I was expecting most my items would be gone. That wasn’t the case at all. I had items that were in great condition from great brands. Hollister, American Eagle, and from stores like Macys. I had a whole bag of the stuff only for them to take TWO items because my items looked like “people wouldn’t buy it” or it’s “out of style”. Like excuse me but lots of stuff in Plato closet was way burnt then what I brought in. Not to mention some worker with her hair tied back and a flannel had a snarky attitude when I asked how does that make sense. She said a PERFECTLY conditioned Jean from American eagle that was slightly boot cut is not fashionable or something people would buy. Clearly you don’t know fashion girl. This place is bias and unprofessional and I know this because I have never had seen any of my friends have trouble when they would sell their clothes at other locations, I’ve also sold at Plato’s before in tanasbourne! Seemed personal! Never coming here again. I’m on Mercari for good.
I see a lot of reviews on here complaining about how employees wouldn’t buy their clothes but I think it’s selfish due to the fact that your clothes are at their disposal! They receive so many offers and sometimes are just not going to choose what they don’t need - regardless of whether it’s name brand or not. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the store, kindness of the employees, and wide selection of high quality clothes on the racks. I will definitely be coming by more often, not only because I love supporting small businesses but also because I stand for recycling clothes - it’s more sustainable and it helps stop fast fashion that contributes to pollution and unnecessary waste being created. Highly recommend coming here if you haven’t tried it out yet!
