Plato's Closet buys & sells all the hottest fashion trends for teens and young adults at up to 70% cheaper than retail stores. We pay cash on-the-spot for your gently used clothes, shoes & accessories (based on style and condition) & look for current styles that have been sold in retail stores within the past 12-18 months. No appointment necessary - we recommend you come in at least 1 hour before closing. Now buying all seasons all year long - but we're choosy in the off season. Turn your closet into cash! We'd love to take a look at your stuff.

We do not accept items with stains, holes, missing buttons, broken zippers, or fading. We reserve the right to pass on items based on condition, style, inventory levels, or past experience. *Must present a valid ID when selling to us.

They have really gone down hill, compared to the previous years that I've gone here. The same stuff is here, month after month, no good deals on merchandise, over-worn and discolored clothing, and they definitely don't have business buying clothing. I used to work for Platos, so I always take care when I bring items to sell. I usually spend a good 6 hours, washing, ironing and laying the clothes flat, in a clean plastic bin. They don't care, they'll take a little look at the top, get bored and say that your items have been processed and buy maybe one or two things at most.. Nowadays, they will overlook high-end, brand new, good quality items that fit within their buying qualifications, yet purchase lower quality items. Budget cuts? Regardless, this place has goodwill quality for brand new prices. Better luck selling your items on your own.
I have $135 boots n they only want to give 30% of what I paid for but from the comments apparently they’re giving people less for what they paid for. I told them I only wore them 2 times n not even outside, everything is intact, clean and everything. Only wore them for pictures lol thankfully I called before I go n looked at the reviews before even going. I could’ve lost perfectly good expensive boots.
Customer service is good. But clothing is pretty basic no pieces stood out to me. Selling is a hit or miss. Go in and look at what items they are selling before you lug your laundry basket full of clothes ready to be sold down there. If you go after noon/1pm you will be waiting and hour or more for items to be sorted for selling. They dont give you 30-40% its more like 25% keep your NWT items and sell them on poshmark or depop.
Great people great service this is my mistake, that i didn’t check thoroughly, and just say yes. I sold a brand you ugg boots never used, brand new Carhartt jacket, vans jackets, brand new snow jacket a nice coat and a vest and i got $40 is this reasonable? I have my part of mistake but i ? Is that fair ? That uggs will be sold for $80-100 ‍
Probably the worst customer service ever. It’s laughable. The male manager struggling with basic stuff, female can’t do a basic trade transaction, have to call store manager not there. Terrible attitudes. I come so little here because of this. So many east solvable problems but they chose not to. Will be out of business at this rate.
I’ve sold to Plato’s a couple of times but this is the last time i’m ever selling to them. I had 3-4 pairs of pretty little thing jeans that still had tags on and was only tried on, and 1 jean that was only worn once, and a 2 piece that was worn once. They low balled me $22 when I paid $100 for those pair of jeans. I would’ve been fine with something near $50 but instead I received $22. The customer service is also terrible. When I saw the receipt and asked “$22?” he responded and said, I can’t redo the transaction, when all he did was pull out the money out of the register and printed my receipt. Me or my boyfriend did not hear him tell us the price he was going to give me before printing the receipt and I was disappointed because I didn’t get my moneys worth, and the customer service was terrible. like I said something about $50 would’ve been fine because that’s usually the amount I get whenever I sold to them. They will lowball you but sell your items for $10-20 each depending on what it is.
I went in today to do some returns because I did not plan ahead for the event I had. so I bought alot of outfits without trying them on first‍ But I was helped by Bryan today 08/01/22. He was very helpful and very nice. Great customer service.
It’s pretty small in there it can get a little cramped but that’s okay, workers were nice & love that they have fitting rooms as well, I found some really good clothes here I enjoyed coming! Definitely coming again
First time going and was not very impressed with the prices. Overpriced clothing that isn't even close to being in like new condition. Will give a few more times to see if my luck of finding something nice changes.
Accessible stalls are not for groups of people, none of the employees seemed to be aware of that fact. There are also no bars and the floor is slippery so it’s really just a bigger stall and there are no true accessible stalls.
