Plato's Closet® is all about being fashion savvy and shopping smart. We specialize in gently used clothes and accessories for teen and twenty something girls and guys. All stores are independently owned franchises.

At Plato's Closet® you'll find a huge selection of trendy, designer styles as well as those every day basics you can't live without - all at up to 70% off mall retail prices!

Our stores buy and sell girls sizes 0/1 to 15/16 and guys size 28 to 38 waist. The gently used clothing and accessories that we buy are: top-name brands, cool, hip, trendy, and clean. Typically we buy items that have been in the retail stores within the past 12 to 18 months.

Our process is quick and easy:

1. Go through your overflowing closet
2. Bring in your cool stuff
3. Walk out with new cool stuff or $$$ in your pocket!

Basically told me the Jordan’s I brought from Champs were fake I was willing to show the receipt and all Only worn once and they hurt my feet. They couldn’t do anything for me. I literally brought in the best looking shoes in the whole store First nd last time ever going there.
Love this store!! I go there frequently and always buy! The staff is not so friendly, but the owners are awesome!!! Great place to shop!!!
I called because I was told that they buy denium. I was told over the phone $6-$10 a pair $10+ if they are new and at least 15 pair that I had were new. So I took about 20 pairs of jeans off the hangers, folded them, drove them to the store to be told...we can't take anything in right now. I said I called an hour ago...before I went to the trouble of getting these here and I was not told anything like that. She told me that she could look up an offer...tomorrow. I said... to avoid a complete waste of my time, I would at least like to know what you pay for new Wrangler jeans. She asked the size and when I told her that most were 44x30, she said we don't take that size. She said they stop at 42. I explained that I was given completely different info over the phone. One young employee walked over to the area where the jeans are and came back to tell her that there was space for the jeans. She said she didn't have time, and people don't wear Wranglers. Another younger employee said...yes, they do. As this woman dismissed me, I asked her again to tell me how much they pay for jeans. She huffed and played with the register and said...maybe $3. What? I NEVER would have wasted my time and gas for $3 a pair. It was my first and last time in the store. I have told two people about my experience and they both said the place is a horrible rip off.
They paid me 60$ for 7 items out of 27 name brand new and old but not worn out clothes. I felt like they could have bought more of my items. They really didn't have much to pick from either. More athletic clothes than anything for wemon and I wasn't Impressed at all with their selecting of clothing. Here are some photos of the boots I bought 14$ and sweater 8$
I'd like to think that in this time of hardship and tight wallets, that shops would perhaps take that into account instead of selling average condition brand clothing and shoes for crazy prices? I used to love platos, and make no mistake, they stock a lot of cool stuff, but the pricing? Not so cool. 3 points for excellent staff
I can't believe the business I experienced. I took in a brand new pair of Jordan's, they were so busy, I had to leave them overnight to be processed, so next day, I never got a call, but it was processed, and everything I brought new and it's packaging were not the same as it was when they received it from me. I can't remember the first or last time I put on and wore someone else's clothes or shoes. Just terrible and totally unprofessional...period Not ever again.
literally awful manager. he was so rude to me. clothes are overpriced when this is literally supposed to be a sort of thrift store. i could’ve gotten better prices buying new clothes.
Outstanding customer service from Ashley yesterday! All of the workers were attentive & prompt & didn't even seem phased when the store got a bit busy! They also actually seem to sort through the close at this Plato's unlike the others ! Will definitely return
First off the employees are awful! They have the worst attitude. Secondly what they offered me for my brand new clothes / shoes with all tags was a slap in the face. I took in 36 pairs of jeans Levi , American Eagle, MK , etc everyone with tags and they offered me $1.00 a pair. When I ask why so low I get the response of its not something her or the other employees would wear! What the heck? Just cause you wouldn’t wear them doesn’t mean someone else wouldn’t wear them. Then on top of that all my shirts most still with tags & name brand I was told it’s not their style so they will pass. Then to top the cake I load everything back up , get home to find that a brand new pair of shoes was gone. The box was left with my stuff but the shoes missing. I will never ever shop here again or refer anyone I know here. May god bless you snooty , worst attitude employees and company
I agree with some of the other comments that the staff is rude. They need a better system of operation in the store. I will Never buy or sell any items there!!! I had some items to sell and I was told that they were Too Professional, REALLY!!! You must be joking!!! Attitude Adjustments Needed.
