The Platte River Fitness Series is a unique community fitness initiative that motivates and inspires citizens to adopt and maintain an active lifestyle.
The Platte River Fitness Series (PRFS) is a community fitness initiative. It links people who are trying to create or maintain an active, healthy lifestyle with each other. The PRFS offers ample and diverse fitness events to give individuals tangible goals to work toward as they achieve and advance physical fitness and an infectious zest for life. The PRFS focus is on participation, and uses a points system to reward reaching the start and finish lines, to accept new challenges, and to improve performance which reflects gains in overall fitness. In addition, participants receive recognition for completing a minimum number of events, equivalent to 1 per month up to all PRFS events. The PRFS is devoted to the idea that one person helps one person who in turn helps another, to find the profound value in living life in a truly healthful way. In community, the athletes of the PRFS support, encourage and compete with members of the PRFS "fitness family", and together form a community culture that reflects fitness, good health, and embraces all aspects of human wellness.
