I don’t know why a lot of people leave low ratings for this motel. I stayed 1 night and it was really good. TV, refrigerator, microwave, AC, clean bathroom with soap and shampoo. Lots of towels. Great breakfast. I would highly recommend this place.
Paid for a 3 night stay 9/18/22-9/20/22, I had work so decided to get a room as I got to this town, getting kicked out of my room early because they charged me for the 9/17/22 for paying that morning of the 18th as shown on the receipt, called the front office asked for a refund on the night I’m not getting today of the 20th and well my bad for not knowing there policies but no refund only the option to pay for the night I already had planned and paid for. So I lost money on that.
Rooms are dirty and over priced. Beds have things split all over the skirts, walls are dirty, food on the wall by the sink, buggers snot smeared on the wall of the bathroom, corner lamp looks like someone peed on it, heat lamp in the bathroom ceiling is partially taken apart and doesn't work, shower rail was loose and half hanging off the wall, lamps were all partially destroyed, chairs are covered in years of black gunk build up, maids only came twice during out stay, we had to take our own trash out and go to the office for towels, and the fridge is bigger than the TV, the TV is the size of a larger computer monitor with a remote that works sometimes. Priced to match the Days Inn but definitely not the same. Rooms are non-refundable.
I guess the first red flag was the “No Refund” sign as we walked in to register. The first woman was very friendly and I truly enjoyed talking to her. We get to our room and the door doesn’t close. They came and said it was the weather to just lift and close. Well that did not make me feel safe leaving my stuff in this room to attend my dad’s funeral. The room phone did not work. We had to go to the office for every complaint. The WiFi did not work and once again we headed to the office and this time it was a different woman, she also told us it’s the weather and to just keep trying and turn our phones off and on. When we told her we tried that, her response was, “ sorry for your luck”! The chair in the room looked like it was picked up from a dumpster. The room was semi-clean. I really wanted to make it work but we left there within the hour and rented another room in Big Spring. When we told them we were leaving, once again the ladies response was, “take it up with your creditor” and hung up on us when we called them from our phone since the room phone did not work! Very dissatisfied and disappointed! Stay at your own risk.
The clerk was super friendly, the rooms were old but very clean, the sheets smelled nice, the mini fridge was spacious, the pillows were fluffy, and the breakfast waffles were in the shape of Texas!
We spent the night of 4 June 2021. Front desk staff was excellent and very helpful. I asked if we could see the room because of some of the reviews, and they were happy to oblige. By the way, the room was very clean. The room, in addition to being clean, was also large enough to accommodate out three medium dogs and one small one. Very friendly, very quiet, and thoroughly enjoyable.
You get what you pay for. Very reasonable price. Bit outdated but everything was clean & functioning properly. It's also within walking distance to a near gas station that has plenty of snacks, food, & a subway & Popeyes. The customer service from this one lady was some of the most friendly I've ever experienced. She was very genuinely sweet.
Had to stay when electricity and water was out. One of few hotels that allowed pets. Pet fee was $10/day per animal. That was acceptable but i was there 5 nights due to weather. Staff was very friendly and brought towels and did trash whenever we needed. My complaint was only 1 plug on each outlet was usable so I couldn't plug my phone and light in at the same time so thats when I moved the desk that the phone was on and it was disgusting underneath. I went to take a shower and found a pubic hair where I would put my shampoo One of the covers were missing to the outlet. Still would stay again if I was in the same situation. I would just clean it myself.
I am staying here now. The room was actually cleaner than I expected after reading all the reviews. I stayed because it was pet friendly and reasonably priced for the area. Have not seen any bed bugs..the microwave isn't even digital ..the thing is a dinosaur but it works. For it being pet friendly there is almost no where to safely walk your animals .a small strip of grass on the other side of the parking lot, loaded with feces. Pretty gross. Anyway the shower worked fine plenty of hot water. The walls are VERY thin. So I recommend getting an upstairs room. I didn't. The comforter had a huge hole in it. I didn't even know they served breakfast until like an hour ago and I have been here 2 days.. I will say this, I have definitely stayed in worse. I wouldn't bring my grand babies here but I can handle it. It's better than sleeping outside..
I'm giving this place 5 stars mainly because of outstanding customer service and friendly service. The room was about what you might get from a motel 6. Large mini fridge, small microwave, small coffee maker, and a few other amenities. We were charged the exact price we were quoted. We were allowed a pet for an extremely small deposit. Smaller than I've seen anywhere else. There is a truck stop and many other places of possible need within walking distance of the motel. Funny thing is wife and I stayed at a La Quinta Odessa TX not far from this motel and we had a better room, bed, and more helpful products like soap, shampoos, coffee, etc than La Quinta, for less money. Plus La Quinta with all the problems/issues we experience refuse to try things better. If we're in the area and we need to stay somewhere again we'd certainly consider Plaza Inn again.
