We are used to country churches and a very warm welcome, so this huge church was very different and somewhat daunting for us. We waited in the foyer for the first congregation to leave the inner sanctum for around 20 mins. The foyer was packed and not one person spoke to this couple of strangers. When it was our turn to enter the huge hall, we easily found a seat. Wow, but the volume on the speakers was loud as the choir belted it out. We enjoyed the sermon, it was honest and just the right length. We left at the end with our eardrums ringing and sadly, only one person had spoken to us - one who thought he recognised me, but he was wrong. It was lovely to be introduced to a handful of people by the lady we were meeting there, but other than that, we felt ignored and unwelcomed. I'm sure it is a wonderful church for active members as I know it has so many activities going on. Everyone seemed to know everyone and that is how churches should be, but rarely are. I would ask that if you see new people venturing through your doors, a simple 'Hi" would make a huge difference. Thank you.

Pleasant Grove is a very friendly country church. It is an excellent place to hear the good news about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bring your kids because there is a very large and very active youth program. I've been to the large stuffy churches and they are not for me. I love this church and you will too!
music was the best. would love to see a choir. pastor, a great communicator; friendly. pastor called me personally. tons of people there, all ages. should be the fastest growing church in town. my pick to join soon!
Pleasant Grove is a church for Christ. All the people are so nice and real. I am treated like family at a place that truly feels like home. The staff at PGBC care so much about the true teachings of the bible and making sure EVERYONE knows the love of Jesus. I couldn't ask for a better place to worship!
Great church! The gospel is clearly shared and lives are changing for Christ. The music is great, there's a super youth and teen ministry, several small group bible studies, and lots of fun things going on all the time.
Whoever drove the bus to Clingman's Dome on September 28th may want to consider slowing down in parking areas. Lots of tired folks all ages walking in that parking lot and this tour bus came through at a clip that was very unsafe. Apparently driver was crunched for time because he proceeded to let off all the occupants while completely blocking the exit and backing up the cars for several minutes. He then decided to park at the end of a row that was not only not designated as a parking spot, it most definitely was not a bus parking spot. These actions represent your church. Still giving 4 stars because I'm sure it's a lovely church; perhaps bus driver needs to get some perspective however.
Im a life long member of PGBC and love seeing how God is working in our church. Pleasant Grove is a family with many ministries to serve the community.
Pleasant Grove is an amazing church allways excepting new people and does Sunday morning church wensday night church they also plan weddings and baptism.
I love Pleasant Grove Baptist Church! The people are friendly and accomodating. It is a church that feels like home...so glad I found this place!
