We camped here on a weekend and in the evenings we couldn't hear eachother over the loud music. The campground itself is decent but the playground is kind of run-down. The pool is really nice and well maintained. The sites are big enough but where we were camping, we could constantly smell sewage and there was a river nearby that's not so safe for children. Giving it a 1/5 because of the loud music, smell, and the fact that it's not very good place for spiritual nourishment or growth.
We stayed in the park over September 10/12 weekend. We had a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The campground has many permanent campers with a few for overnight. We had a water/hydro site, it was perfect! The washrooms/showers were clean and are for one person. There is also a pool, some food at the snack bar and firewood, if needed. Two suggestions: put an office sign up at the front gate and down the road to the office. Put up solar lights on bathroom/shower building so people can find it at night. Thank you for an amazing stay in Kingsville, ON.
It I could write lower than 1 star I would. Got ripped off for $250 after paying 4200 for a season on a slanted site with water that ruined my tanks on my brand new trailer. Weren't allowed to have my niece and nephew unless I rented an entire site for a 9 and 10 year old. Worst experience I've ever had still have not been refunded my 250 storage fee, after being told park was closing and if we removed our trailer by Nov 1 st we would be refunded still in process of going to small claims court.
This campground is really great. I’m rather saddened by the reviews as I know many of them are written out of anger because someone didn’t get their way and didn’t respect park rules. I think the issue is that many individuals feel as though they are family when they stay here, and should be able to get away with not following the rules. When the rules don’t get bent for them, that’s when they start sharing harsh words about the campground and management. All campgrounds have rules, and following the rules here will lead to happy staff, happy management, happy owners, and therefore a happy camper
Great access to trails, great pool. Staff realized the booking mistake when our group arrived as there was a seasonal on one of the sites we were to use. But they accommodated and move the group of 3 to an easier access lot. Lots were very small had just enough room between to put out the awnings. But could hear everything from all trailers around you. Then while sitting outside you get random whiffs of sewage..... the ENTIRE weekend was like that. A breaker popped and when my husband licensed electrician when up to talk to the staff along with a few other guests, the staff member rudely said it's not her problem and we would have to figure it out! My husband was trying to explain it was a breaker issue and her response was "well if everyone wasn't running their air and sitting outside it wouldn't have happened". Our family decided it was a one and done. We will not be going back.
I don’t understand the reviews about rude staff at all, I have never come across a more friendly group of people! They were so nice, tried their hardest to be accommodating and were apologetic over any little thing that went wrong. I have to think there must be another campground with a similar name that people are confused by. When we got there one of the workers brought us around to different sites until we found the right one for us. She could not have been more helpful or sweet despite them being insanely busy on the first day opening up after lockdown.
What a lovely private campground! Most of it is filled with long term seasonal RV's, attesting to the quality of services they consistently provide. As temporary campers, we really enjoyed our week here. The friendly staff were exemplary, the pool was perfect, and the washrooms clean. Backing up to the Greenway added another bonus for daily walking and bike riding.
I reserved a specific site, which turned out to have a seasonal on it. The staff didn't even know there was seasonal in the over night area. Luckily they were able to move us to another site so our group could be together. We had TINY lots. Our awnings almost touched the trailer beside us and there was no room for our truck. The trailer park smelt like sewage the entire weekend. It was so disgusting. You had to SHARE sewer hook ups and none of them were capped which is probably why it smelt so disgusting all weekend. The overnight area was about 50% full and we blew a breaker for the entire area. The staff was absolutely RUDE about this and told us we had to figure it out because it was our problem and left all of the trailers on an extremely hot day without any hydro. Thankfully another guest fixed it since the staff was no help. They only had 2 bathrooms open. When there was a line of 5 of us waiting to go in before the locked the gates on us at noon check out time the staff member was able to only unlock one more bathrooms. Even though there are 8 or 10 bathrooms. Apparently they are only open on the long weekends. The manager informed her she could only open one ! I was EXTREMLY disappointed with this campground and will not return. It smells horrible, it is extremely unorganized and the staff it rude and not helpful at all. Save your money and nose and go elsewhere!
New to the park this year as a seasonal camper. Rather surprised at some of the negative reviews to be honest. Guess the whole “ one thing goes wrong tell 10 people and one thing goes right tell no one” is accurate. As a previous camper elsewhere I can honestly say that this park is great. They’ve done nothing but welcome us beyond anything I’ve seen. Yes it’s a smaller park. Yes there are some people that have been here for years. That’s what camping is all about. Management have been so accommodating and helpful. If they say they are going to do something they do it. There has been upgrades to the sewer system through out the entire park as a result of a slower seasonal start due to Covid. Plans in place to upgrade the playground area .. adding rental cottages. We really can’t complain at all. Good food and service in the restaurant, and available to help when needed. Simply said .. A nice quiet campground minutes away from everything you need. Well done and personable.
Camped here for the first time and was shocked at the beautiful little oasis. The staff was fantastic and beyond accommodating! The events for kids on the weekends were great! Our daughter loves the karaoke night! We had a beautiful shaded site that backed in to a creek. Our little family could not have enjoyed the park more!!!
