The Pleasant Valley Drive-in movie theater, one of the oldest Connecticut drive-ins, offers a family fun venue for viewing the most recent movie releases.

Ticket prices and operating information below:
All ticket prices include the double feature. You get two watch two movies.
$10 per adult ages 13 and up
$5 per child ages 6-12
Free for children 5 and under.

Thursday night is carload night for $20 per car load.

We only book movies week to week. We do not have an advanced schedule for our entire season. Please visit our website at the beginning of each week or come to this Facebook fan page to get the latest movie showtime announcements!

"Welcome to what was one of the oldest continually operating NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED drive-ins in the state of CT! The Pleasant Valley Drive-in Movie Theater is located in the outskirts of Litchfield County in Barkhamsted, CT. Operating since 1947, under the same ownership for the past 27 years until recently closing, we offered a wonderful outdoor family fun venue that catered to all ages! The theater sits on a 3 acre lot near the west branch of the Farmington River. We hosted a capacity for up to 250 cars and maintained the nostalgic American drive-in appeal."

This drive in is a great place to visit. It had bathroom facilities and a concession stand. You can get in at 630 so pack up the family and play outside while you wait for the sun to set. It's cash only so come prepared because you will want some popcorn . Thursday nights are carload night too.
The best movie experience around, especially for small children. They can move, talk, and fall asleep, without worries. The food prices have gone up, but so has the quality. You can always bring your own food and snacks. This place is also very dog friendly, with a leash.
Very well done and well organized! We we got in after waiting on line for just 10 minutes. We saw two Disney movies and had the best in-movie snacks. This was my first American drive-in movie experience as a guy from New York City and it did not disappoint. I would definitely return for another double feature.
People are allowed to open hatch on car and block the screen... I've been to other drive ins and this isn't allowed. The screen was blocked and there were too many people to be comfortable for social distancing. Do not recommend.
It was my first time at this drive in and was looking forward to a time we’ll spent with family however when we arrived the lady at the check in wasn’t friendly at all she was very short and rude and there were no cars behind us, we finally found a spot and was trying to get settled in when the “security guy” walked up to us and rudely told us told us our lights were and the movie hadn’t even started. Needless to say there was nothing pleasant about this drive in and our family will never go back!!!
Wow Right We found a DRIVE-IN. We had a great time with the big screen and the people were terrific. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Family friendly, tailgate party like or romantic couple depending on where you park
Foods okay the movie isn't super bright but overall nice. The usual drive in issues here like people have their lights on & whatnot. My biggest gripe is it's 2022 & they are cash only. I went on a Euro trip & towns in the mountains were taking phone tap. After 2 years of pandemic & can't take anything else other than cash is annoyingly behind the times. The food was more expensive than i thought & ran out of cash. Next time I'm bringing my own snacks. This is the only place in 2 years I've had to grab money cash for.
Great way to spend the evening. Staff was excellent with making sure people were parked in the right locations and having people shut their lights off to make sure it was a good experience. Nice selection of reasonably priced options at the snack bar, too. Just make sure to bring some bug spray because the mosquitoes were out in full force when we went.
Only 2 minor complaints, the popcorn was pretty stale and the soda tasted like the seltzer mix was a bit high. Movies were great, parking was old style drive inn so that was perfect.
did a Friday night Drive-in it was a blast. Cooler temperatures than expected, but we brought chairs and blankets worth it, the temps were so cool that moisture on the inside of car windows required cloth wipe downs. brought a portable radio for the movie sound, better than using the car radio for sound 4 hours on car battery is a risk of car not starting Would do it again!
