First Band Festival for our school district held here since 2019. It was such a wonderful occasion to see kids from 5th grade, middle and high school perform Star Wars together some kids whose first time picking up an instrument this year. The venue was perfect, the sound was amazing! Considering we had over 1000 musicians on the floor as well as on stage, the families fit tightly with standing room to see and hear the magic! The seats in the first 20 rows or so were plastic benches with seat backs but the top rows on the balcony were only benches so get in for any game/event early to get a good seat. The people next to me brought seat cushions which I thought was genius. There were exits on the second level and restrooms too so you don’t have to run downstairs in the middle of a performance. Great event space!!
O.M.G this was just about a nightmare. We were told that our daughter that attends Rocky Ridge had a band production here. Nobody told us ANYTHING about why it was at this place rather than at their school. So we tried to show up early so we could get a seat and watch her cute little showing. OMG the traffic was backed up CLEAR to the turnoff of highway 7/mountion highway. It took is about 40 minutes to GET there, and once we did, we had to park way down the road on the side of someone's driveway. The auditorium, though big, has ZERO air circulation whatsoever, not to mention enouph seating available for the entire DISTRICT plus thair families.we couldn't wait to get out of there! Thank GOD the entire production was only about 45_50 minutes long.
What an incredible venue. The acoustics are great for the band experience.
Olson Auditorium is a multipurpose "place" that many different events happen, good, bad or indifferent. It happens to be on Pacific Lutheran University PLU campus. It was an orchestra event for students from Bethel School District. Did it impact me, not directly, but it did. It was worth my time and effort.

Take a map with you when you go. Just to find your way to everything. This auditorium is great and plenty of room. We have had several events here for special olympics. This is a great place if you have a large crowd coming.
