Amazing! Everything was fresh and homemade, great service and delicious food.
Excellent food, cozy and quaint atmosphere. The chef is friendly and accommodating. If I was sticking around longer, I would take them up on their custom stocked picnic basket rentals. Great date idea! Only downside was that they stopped serving breakfast at 10:45 on Saturday Sunday goes til 3.
I just had a Bridal Shower there on Sunday & it was perfect. The weather cooperated so that we could all be outside. The food was outstanding. The punch was wonderful and the bride was delighted. Service was courteous and friendly. Everyone had a wonderful time. Liz & Tammy were great.
A quaint breakfast/lunch place with unexpectedly good, hearty food. The location is unique around the area, in that it is in the basement of a historic home. The ceilings are low, and watch your step!, but it makes for an unexpectedly intimate space with your fellow diners and patrons. The food itself may not be unique, like the setting, but everything I have had has been delicious. I have yet to try the takeway bakery itself, but if it's anything like the food, I'll have to get some soon.
Charming, whimsical, intimate. The owner is gracious and receptive. The portions are as gracious as she...delicious and perfectly prepared. Uncommonly good. The pastries...very French and as flavorful as they are lovely. A hidden treasure. And I am only a customer who was introduced to the cafe by a friend.
Stupendous is an understatement. The food here is what lesser food dreams of becoming. The atmosphere is amazingly refined, well-themed and provides a deep sense of comfort, nourishment and appreciation for life in general. The staff operates with a level of kindness, care and dedication I was unaware existed anywhere in the states. Kudos, Plump Peacock and my deepest appreciation for the experience.
My favorite place for brunch in Louisville! If you go for breakfast I highly recommend the farmhouse breakfast, so so good! I also love their bakery. They have all sorts of pastries and desserts that are delicious.
Love this little restaurant and bakery! Chef Liz make such tasty creations and she is so nice! The outdoor seating is lovely and shaded and this inside is cosy! Fantastic breakfast/lunch place!
Ordered the half sandwich and soup of the day which was Italian Wedding. The server delivered a whole sandwich which I told her I didn't order. She said do you want me to take it back? Not sure what they were going to do with it once they got it back to the kitchen and I was hungry so I said it was okay not realizing they were expecting me to pay for what I didn't order or want. The soup was tasteless - actually tasted just like Campbells Chicken and Stars! The sandwich was just okay - the ham was good but it was cold, not warm like I expected and the dijon mustard was too strong. With tip and drink it was over $15 - and that was just for the half sandwich. Owner seemed to be upset that I didn't want to pay for the whole sandwich that I didn't order or eat. Actually had the waitress come back to tell me I owed for the whole one. Disappointing lunch experience. Probably won't try it again.
Delicious deli style sandwhiches. I got the Ce la Vie, ham and brie and carmalized onions, it was wonderful. Messy in all the right ways and so big I only ate half and now have half for lunch tommorrow. The deserts looked amazing in the case but I didn't indulge this time. Next time I will definitely save room. The atmosphere is adorably quaint. The whole restaurant is casual yet sophisticated. Peefect for a lunch date.
