The Plymouth Township Police Department is a modern, accredited agency with 46 full-time police officers, serving Plymouth Township, Montgomery County Pennsylvania.
The Police Department was established in 1951 when Harry J. Snear became the first Police Chief. During the span of 62 years of Plymouth Township Police history, the township has had a total of six Police Chiefs, five past and the current Police Chief. We remember and honor those past and present Chiefs who have served so diligently. Their efforts over the past decades have contributed to what the Plymouth Township Police Department is today.
The mission of all employees of the Plymouth Township Police Department is to faithfully provide service to the citizens of this Township and to those who come within our care and jurisdiction.
Our mandate is to serve and protect without bias or prejudice, maintaining peace, security and order while affording dignity and respect to all.
Our objective will always be the improvement of the quality of life in Plymouth Township through a partnership with its people, businesses and institutions.
