ZERO STARS>>>>I am fit to be tied over just being hung up on, by Cheryl at PNC Norwalk, OH branch! I have been a loyal customer for years, mostly due to Cathy Carpenter at the Willard Branch who is now retired. However, I will give credit where credit is due and she did handle my initial request for closing my extra savings account. Afterwards, which I asked for her input on two fraudulent chgs to my account. I could barely get a word in edgewise...I was TRYING to explain that Heather had assisted me on Tues 6/27 via phone with a stop payment but I didn't understand WHY Melissa could NOT have done the same thing on Monday 6/26 when I came in person. Had it been done Monday, BEFORE the SECOND fraud charge even became PENDING, a stop payment would have prevented it from being taken from my account. I told Cheryl I was getting frustrated because she was not letting me explain. I also stated that in most large companies there is a "note" area when any and all customer interaction should be noted besides every day banking. I felt if Melissa had just made some type of note regarding my fraudulent chgs, my extreme dissatisfaction over losing hundreds of dollars due to fraud, noted my extreme concern on if TSD Logistics was in fact handling the dispute correctly. After all, PNC is MY bank and they are supposed to be the ones putting my mind at ease and answering my questions. Sadly, other than Heather, this did not happen. I am glad Cheryl and I were on a recorded line...you will hear me trying to "talk OVER" her and most definitely hear her hang up on me THE CUSTOMER. I NEVER cursed or spoke badly but I did get loud as I tried to get her to just LISTEN.
They constantly misrepresent what's in your account. I prefer keeping most of my money in cash and making deposits as needed, so I keep a close eye on my balance and upcoming charges. I started the other day with 55 in checking, deposited an extra 20 making 75 right? Used the card for 45 and another for 8 making $53, leaving 22 in my favor. I woke up to see I was overdrawn to the amount of -$55 after the overdraft fee. There were NO extra or unexpected charges that had come through to make this happen, only the resulting math had changed. Go to sleep with a balance in your favor, wake up in the negative all without a new charge to make it that way. This is the sort of thing that led to a class action lawsuit against National City which pnc bought, so save your paperwork, people. Also, I had deposited $40 after work one night, woke up confused to be overdrawn and saw I didn't get credit for that deposit. Got a provisional credit for that amount only to have them reverse it saying "no, we gave you credit for that deposit, you were never even overdrawn". Well that's not what the online banking showed before or afterward. Absolute sloppy bookkeeping and likely scammers. Planned to close my account today but the other banks around here are sounding pretty terrible too.
This is probably one of the best banks around. The staff are always super polite and ready to serve everyone's needs. They are always smiling and make my visits great. I have never felt uncomfortable or had a bad experience here.
Never been here or done any banking with these people but after the last few days of the Linwood/Monroe branch having called me several times. Never leavng a message, and my voice mail is set up. Finally answered the phone today after looking up the number through Google to confirm it was somewhere legitimate calling. The person that answered, Mark, could not stop laughing, while asking for what i can only imagine is a made up name. When told not to call again he laughed more, starting to feel borderline harassed currently because of this. So completely unprofessional, will never do any banking with this bank in the future because of this.
I've been a customer of PNC Bank for over 30 years, and get no "customer" respect.. I call this branch for help, and get "confusion". The branch calls my phone and does not have the consideration to leave a short message. As far as I'm concerned, the branches are useless. They can close all of them, I wouldn't miss them
Be careful when pulling out of the ATM drive thru. The wheel stop is a bit high, so you might hit your passenger side if you don't pull out far enough if you're turning right.
I just got treated like a crook because they don't cash checks over $2,000 for non-customers. Either that or she just doesn't like bald guys, IDK.
I only use PNC Bank for checking, the branch in Willard Ohio is very helpful answering questions and meeting my needs for everything else. Had to file bankruptcy 20 years ago. I still paid off all the money I owed to PNC Bank. They doesn't believe in forgiveness. They won't give me a loan or a credit card 20 years later with great credit. So I went to the Firelands Federal credit Union down the road.
I like how they treat me! Sometimes at the drive through they don't listen good enough!!
Very very very rude and disrespectful. I'm changing banks.
