I have always had nothing but positive experiences with the officers who work here. I have lived in wallingford for years and I have had a few situations where I needed help and I was always taken very seriously, treated with respect, and I felt very safe. My calls were always resolved and followed up on quickly. One of the reasons I remain in wallingford is because I actually feel safe because officers that work here. Thank you for your service! You guys are amazing!
Very hard-working officers. I moved here from Kansas and am impressed with the quality of the police here. Twice I've been pulled over this year: once because it was late at night and my out of state plates were questionable I'm glad they are vigilant and observant! and once because my Midwest lifestyle raised me with texting while driving and they kindly reminded me with a fine that it's unsafe and illegal in CT. Thank you to all the officers here performing difficult work!
My first visit to Wallingford was to eat sonic. And as I’m biting into my food 3 cops pull up female was very aggressive. They were rude and made me feel unsafe. I thought the female cop was going to shoot my cousin, my fiancé and myself for not putting putting our food down as quickly as she wanted us to. Someone reported we had a gun, At the end of the commotion and car searching they found nothing and the worst part is, they didn’t even apologize for coming aggressively hand cuffing screaming yelling. I know you have protocols to follow, but I’m sure there a way of doing it. Thanks Wallingford police, I’ll never go there again.
Some of the rudest police I've ever met. And any who are doing roadwork duty over by Dagg are even worse to those of us WHO LIVE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD. Wallingford is an amazing town, but the police are disgraceful. Not who you want keeping law and order in your town OR neighborhood.
All citizens, visitors and people passing through this place should be fully aware of the behavior of this PD and it’s refusal to get rid of dirty, abusive officers that punch handcuffed people unconscious in the back of OUR patrol cars. A 2 week suspension, coupled with trumped-up charges for the “suspect” read: victim of this PD, is an absolute disgrace and any town that would let that fly is a place to be avoided. You folks that “run” that dump of a town ought to be ashamed of yourselves.
Every time I need to go there either to speak with an officer for help or the records division everyone is extremely friendly. I don't get why people give police so much grief. They have a tough job and still act courteously. I recently applied for my pistol permit and they told me that it could take up to 12 weeks because a lot of people have been applying. They advised me to call in 7 to 8 weeks for an update. I called 7 weeks and they gave me an update and 2 days later they received the fingerprints back and called me personally to tell me they were back and they will mail me the permit. I think that was amazing that they took their time to say thanks for calling and they are in.
The Wallingford Police Department is always very friendly and they all seem to go out of their way to help others. We are lucky to have such a great group of people protecting and overseeing our community.
I agree that these Wallingford police are not very good. My 93 year old mom was beaten by her side had to have 28 stitches and they did nothing even after I went to the Mayor's office.
I called about ward street intersection and they did nothing about this. 99% of the people that drive down this road do not stop at the stop sign they just blow right threw it. it really scary specialy when I have kids that play at the part across the street. they really need to do something about this asap. I almost got rear ended because the person behind me wasn't going to stop
