To make Kansas City one of the safest city's in America.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Police Foundation of Kansas City, is a 501 (c) (3) corporation formed by citizens focused on reducing crime and to making the community safe for all concerned. The Foundation does so by generating funds and other support for the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department to enhance public safety and law enforcement programs that are beyond the level of support of other funding.
The Police Foundation of Kansas City (in a collaborative effort with the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department), is currently engaged in research and analysis that will ultimately determine the appropriate strategic initiatives the Department will undertake in an effort to further reduce the incidence of violent crime in Kansas City.
The initiatives under study are being thoroughly examined in order to identify policing “Best Practices” and to ensure those chosen are applicable to Kansas City and will have the highest rate of success in reducing violent crime.
Established in 2010 by the Board of Police Commissioners, the Foundation’s mission is to raise funds that are not available within the Police Department’s existing/projected budgets, or through tax support or other sources. (The Police Foundation’s operating expenses have been fully paid for by members of the Board.) Contact: Ron Fletcher, President & CEO, 816-719-8327, [email protected]
